Common use of SPECIAL SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL Clause in Contracts

SPECIAL SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL. Personnel employed on a shift in which the hours are other than the regular day shift defined in Article 18 shall be paid a shift differential of thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour for all hours worked outside the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Provided, however, that if the majority of the hours of such special shift occur after 4:00 p.m., then the thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour shift differential shall be paid for the entire shift.
