Common use of Standard Work Day Clause in Contracts

Standard Work Day. The total length of the work day shall not exceed seven and one-half (7.5) hours including a thirty (30) minute duty free lunch period. The employee’s total instruction/contract time shall not exceed three hundred and ten (310) minutes per day, exclusive of break time. During the seven and one-half (7.5) hour standard work day, employees will be assigned to such activities as: 1. Curriculum work; 2. Classroom instruction; 3. Supervision of students; 4. Conference with parents and students; 5. Classroom management.

Standard Work Day. The total length standard workday shall consist of the work day shall not exceed seven and one-half (7.5) hours including exclusive of a thirty (30) minute duty free duty-­‐free lunch period. The employee’s total instruction/contract Teachers shall be provided with no less than fifty (50) minutes during the seven hour work day of which at least 30 consecutive minutes of such time shall not exceed three hundred and ten (310) minutes per day, be uninterrupted by other assigned duties exclusive of break timestaff meetings. During Staff and administrators at each site shall work together to develop a mutually agreed upon master schedule. Each site shall be encouraged to work toward the seven and one-half (7.5) hour standard work achievement of a preparation period during the student contact day, employees will be assigned to such activities as: 1. Curriculum work; 2. Classroom instruction; 3. Supervision of students; 4. Conference with parents and students; 5. Classroom management.
