Common use of Step II – Superintendent Clause in Contracts

Step II – Superintendent. If the grievant is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Step I, the grievant and/or the Association shall appeal the decision to the Superintendent within seven (7) days of receiving the Step I decision. The Superintendent shall conduct a meeting with the grievant and/or the Association within seven (7) days of receiving the notice of appeal. The Superintendent will then issue his/her decision in writing by completing Grievance Report Form B (Appendix B) and forwarding it to the grievant within seven (7) days of the meeting. The Association and the immediate supervisor shall be notified by the Superintendent in writing of said disposition.

Step II – Superintendent. If the grievant or the Association is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Step I, or if no decision has been rendered within ten (10) days after presentation of the grievant and/or grievance, then the Association shall appeal the decision grievance, within ten (10) days, may be referred to the Superintendent within seven (7) days of receiving superintendent or the Step I decisionsuperintendent's designee. The Superintendent superintendent/designee shall conduct arrange for a meeting with the grievant and/or the Association to take place within seven ten (710) days after receipt of receiving the notice of appeal. The Superintendent will then issue his/her decision in writing by completing Grievance Report Form B (Appendix B) and forwarding it to the grievant within seven (7) days Upon conclusion of the meeting. The Association and , the immediate supervisor shall be notified by superintendent will have ten (10) days to provide the Superintendent in writing of said dispositiongrievant with a written decision.
