Step Placement Upon Promotion. When promoted from one class to another class the employee shall be placed at the same step in the new range on the salary schedule to which the employee would be entitled on the basis of continuous years of service within the District. 14.5.1 If the employee is not assigned to the promoted position within 15 working days, the employee shall begin receiving the pay of the higher position on the 16th day.
