Administrative Transfers. Administrative transfers may be made by the Superintendent, as the needs of the schools require. Notification of an administrative transfer will be given to an employee as soon as possible but not less than twenty
Administrative Transfers. Administrative Transfers are initiated by the Department and are based upon Department needs or any other reason necessary to ensure adequate levels of service to the public. The Chief Probation Officer or the Chief Probation Officer's designee shall initiate and implement an Intra-Service or Inter-Service Transfer of an appropriate employee.
A. Upon determining to initiate and implement an Administrative Transfer, the Chief Probation Officer or the Chief Probation Officer's designee shall provide advance notice to the affected employee prior to officially announcing such a transfer.
B. An employee who is administratively transferred shall maintain his or her time in the prior Service for purposes of computing seniority for subsequent voluntary transfers. An employee who is administratively transferred may file a voluntary transfer request immediately upon receiving notice of the administrative transfer.
C. An employee may be administratively transferred for purposes of assisting in the resolution of circumstances related to disciplinary action.
D. Intra-Service or Inter-Service Transfers have no time certain as to duration.
E. The standards in Section 1.G. of this Article shall be applied only in that instance when seniority is used as the sole criteria for determining an administrative transfer, in which case the affected employee(s) shall be so advised.
Administrative Transfers. 6.3.1 Administrative transfers are at the discretion of the District and require approval by a Vice-President. The employee shall be notified of the transfer on a District approved form which shall document the Vice President’s approval. An employee who is to be transferred may request a conference with and a written statement from the immediate supervisor regarding the reasons for the transfer. The District will work together with the Association to resolve problem situations.
6.3.2 An administrative transfer shall not affect the employee's placement on the salary schedule or cause any involuntary increase or reduction in hours.
Administrative Transfers a. When the principal/worksite administrator and a teacher agree that it is in the best interest of the teacher, students and/or school climate for the teacher to be transferred to another worksite, the principal/worksite administrator and/or the teacher shall notify the Executive Director of Human Resources.
b. Upon notification, the Executive Director of Human Resources or his/her designee shall meet individually with both the principal/worksite administrator and the teacher to identify the need for an administrative transfer. Following the meeting, the Executive Director of Human Resources shall make a report and recommendation to the Superintendent.
c. The Superintendent may request a meeting with any of the involved parties following receipt of the report. The Superintendent, based on the information presented, may administratively transfer the teacher.
d. If more than one vacancy exists for which the teacher is certified and qualified, the Executive Director of Human Resources shall determine placement. Upon request, the Executive Director of Human Resources will meet with the teacher to discuss their placement. If there is no available vacancy for which the teacher is qualified, the teacher shall be given the opportunity to wait for the first available vacancy.
e. An administrative transfer shall not be used as a form of disciplinary action, nor shall there be any negative/derogatory statements/documents placed in the teacher’s personnel file if an administrative transfer is requested, whether or not it is granted.
f. The administrative transfer process shall not be used to circumvent the voluntary or involuntary transfer procedures.
Administrative Transfers. Administrative transfers within the same classification, but to a different job site, may be made by the Chancellor-Superintendent or his/her designee based upon justifiable needs of the District and considering the justifiable needs of the employee.

In the case of such administrative transfers, the District shall make an effort to provide transferred personnel with positions of comparable pay and hours.
Administrative Transfers. These are transfers that are initiated by the administration. Administrative transfers may be made for three reasons:
1. Changes in school enrollment which differ from projections made by the administration prior to the operation of the transfer pools (included in this category are changes in class enrollments which result from actual student registrations)
2. Unsatisfactory work on the part of the teacher; Programmatic needs of the district.
