Common use of Step Two Clause in Contracts

Step Two. Within ten (10) working days after receiving the Supervisor's reply to Step One above and such response is not satisfactory, the grievance may be submitted to the Director of Operations or management designate who shall, within fifteen (15) working days hold a meeting between the employee and the Union grievance committee, not to exceed three (3) in number and the appropriate representatives of Management, in a final attempt to resolve the grievance. A Staff Representative of the Union and/or the Grievor may be present at this meeting if requested by either Party. The Director of Operations shall within a further ten (10) working days give his decision in writing, on the grievance form and return it to the Union.
