6.06 The Chief Xxxxxxx will be excused four (4) consecutive hours per day with pay at times mutually agreed upon to attend to Union matters in the Union orientation programfacility.

The Company will recognize the said committee for the purpose of handling any grievance arising out of the administration of this Collective Agreement. A list of the stewards appointed, or otherwise selected, shall be supplied to the Company. The Company shall be notified of advised immediately by the names of persons so selected prior to the Stewards assuming their duties. Should the total number of bargaining unit employees exceed ninety (90)Union, the Union reserves the ability to appoint up to an additional two (2) Stewards.

Section 4.03 It is agreed that the Stewards have regular duties to perform and that Stewards will not leave their work without permission from their Supervisors. The aggrieved employee may request an available Xxxxxxx of the employee’s choice, within the employee’s department. Section 4.04 Each January 1, the Union will supply a list of all Stewards, Chief Stewards, President and all other posts with the Union in writing to the Human Resources Manager. The Company will also be notified of any change to this list. The Union will be informed promptly of other than temporary changes in supervision. The Union agrees that no person shall be appointed or otherwise selected as a xxxxxxx unless has attained plant seniority twelve (12) months prior to the aforementioned list at the time of the changeappointment or selection. The Company will only recognize the individuals on this list as Union Officials.
Section 4.05 It is agreed recognizes and agrees that the Union President will be assigned to the day shift and will be provided reasonable time to conduct Union affairs. Section 4.06 The Company agrees to reimburse the members of the Bargaining Plant Committee and Committee Chairperson (pension Committee, Health Safety Committee and Compensation Co-ordinator) are required from time to time to investigate and process grievances or discuss with Supervisors other matters affecting employees. When it becomes necessary for regularly scheduled shifts a Committee member to leave job during working hours to attend these matters, they will give Supervisors as much advance notice as possible, at their normal straight which time hourly rate Supervision will make arrangements for the Committee member to be relieved within one hour after receiving such notice. The Committee member must advise Supervisor as to what the general nature of business is and how much time lost at negotiations up to but they require. The Union agrees that there will not including conciliation.
Section 4.07 During the orientation normally be duplications of new employeesduties or responsibilities of its Stewards and Officers, however, it is recognized that there may be times, because of circumstances, the Union or the Company agrees may deem it necessary to provide have more than one representative attend to the matter. The Committee member must inform the appropriate Supervisor of the department into which is entering. An employee shall be accompanied by a designated Local Union Officer reasonable time and space Xxxxxxx, or Chief Xxxxxxx, or President, when being interviewed in the presence of a Foreperson or Company Supervisor, where a matter is being discussed that could lead to present the Union orientation program. STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. Section 4.01 5.1 The Company shall recognize a total acknowledges the right of five (5) Stewards designated by the Union to represent various departments in the plant. (a) A Grievance Committee shall be appointed and shall consist of a list Business Representative of all Stewardsthe Union and the Chief Xxxxxxx, plus the Xxxxxxx who handled the initial grievance. Employees of the Company appointed to the Grievance Committee must have six (6) months seniority with the Company.
(b) The Grievance Committee members may leave their work without loss of pay to attend to Union business on the following conditions:
i) such business must be between the Union and Management;
ii) the time shall be devoted to the prompt handling of necessary Union business;
iii) the Xxxxxxx or Committee Member concerned shall obtain the permission of the Supervisor concerned before leaving his work. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld;
iv) any meetings with Management will be held during Plant working hours and shall be considered as hours worked and paid for at the appropriate rate.
(a) A Negotiating Committee shall be appointed and shall consist of a representative of the Union and up to seven (7) bargaining unit members plus the Chief StewardsXxxxxxx. Each department shall select one
(1) member to be nominated for the Negotiating Committee. The departments shall be Maintenance/Refrigeration, President Kill/Evis, Further Processing, Sanitation, Boning, Distribution and Quality Assurance.
(b) The employees of the Company who are appointed, or otherwise selected, by the Union to the Negotiating Committee shall be paid eight (8) hours at their regular rate of pay for each negotiating session scheduled between the Parties. The Union will reimburse the Company fifty percent (50%) of wages paid for up to the first (1st) six (6) meetings and one hundred percent (100%) for all other posts with meetings, if any. It is understood that the Union in writing work week for employees appointed, or selected, to the Human Resources ManagerNegotiating Committee is reduced by eight (8) hours for each negotiating session. The Company will also shall pay Health & Welfare plans, all pension contributions, and accrued vacation credits while attending any day of negotiations.
