UNION COMMITTEE STEWARDS. The Employer agrees to recognize: (a) A Negotiating Committee consisting of three (3) employees, one of who shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx elected or otherwise selected by the Union. The Union will make every effort to have one part time employee and to have representation from Residential and Day Services; A Union Administrative Committee consisting of ten (10) Xxxxxxxx elected or otherwise selected by the Union, one of who willhold the office of Chief Xxxxxxx. The Stewards will represent the following service areas: Full Time Support Workers All members of the Committee and the Stewards shall be regular employees of the Employer who have completed their probationary period. The Employer shall be advised of the names of members of the Committees and Stewards and shall be notified of any changes time to time. The Employer shall only recognize Stewards once the Employer has been formally informed by the Union. The Union acknowledges that the members of the Union Administrative Committee must continue to perform their regular duties, and that so far as possible, all activities of the Committee will be carried on outside the regular working hours of the members thereof, unless mutually arranged. The members of the Union Administrative Committee will be paid by the Employer for used during normal scheduled working hours in the servicing of a grievance, excluding any time at grievance arbitration proceedings. A Union representative will be allowed to leave their regular duties to investigate a dispute, service a grievance or attend a meeting where disciplinary action will occur within the Association premises subject to fulfilling the following obligations: (a) they will request permission to leave duties their immediate manager; or the On-call Manager in the absence of their immediate supervisor; The members of the Committee will be paid by the Employer for time used during normally scheduled working hours in negotiations of any Agreement, including Conciliation proceedings, but excluding any Arbitration proceedings.

UNION COMMITTEE STEWARDS. It is mutually agreed that where negotiations are con- ducted on a joint basis between any or all of the nursing homes in the Royalcrest Lifecare Group Inc. chain in the Province of Ontario, the Union will elect or otherwise select a negotiating committee consisting of one representative from each nursing home. If negotiations are carried on individually for any or all of the nursing homes the Royalcrest Lifecare Group Inc. chain in the Province of Ontario, it is agreed that the Union will elect or otherwise select a negotiating committee consisting of three (3) employees, one (1) of which shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx. All members of the committee shall be regular employees of the Employer who have completed their probationary period. The nursing home members of the Committee will be paid by the Employer for time used during normally scheduled working hours in negotiation of this Agreement or its successor including all conciliation proceedings but excluding any Arbitration proceedings. The Employer will recognize a Union Administrative Committee which shall consist of a Chief Xxxxxxx and three (3) stewards at each nursing home all selected from the members of the bargaining unit, not more than two (2) of which committee members shall meet with the Employer at any one time. The Employer shall be advised of the names of members of this committee and shall be notified of any changes from time to time. All members of the committee shall be full-time employees of the Employer who have completed their probationary period. The Union acknowledges that the members of the Union Administrative Committee must continue to perform their regular duties, and that so far as possible all activities of the committee be carried on outside the regular working hours of the members thereof, unless otherwise mutually arranged.
UNION COMMITTEE STEWARDS. 7.01 No individual employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without proper authorization of the Union. In order that this may be carried out, the Union will supply the Employer with the names of its Stewards. Similarly, the Employer will supply the Union with a list of its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union may be required to transact business. 7.02 A Union Committee of not more than two (2) shall be selected by the Union to represent the Union for the purpose of handling of grievances or bargaining on any matter properly arising from time to time during the continuance of this Agreement, including negotiations for a renewal of this Agreement. If neither Xxxxxxx is available, the meeting will be postponed, whenever possible, until one is available. 7.03 The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of Representatives of Ontario Federation of Health Care Workers LIUNA, Local 1110 when meeting with the Employer or the Employers designate. 7.04 The Union recognizes that members of the Union Committee have regular duties to perform on behalf of the Employer. Such employees will not leave their duties on Union business without first obtaining permission from their immediate Supervisor. Such permission will not be unreasonably withheld. 7.05 Each member of the Union Committee shall receive her regular pay for all regularly scheduled working hours lost due to attendance at meetings pertaining to Union business with representatives of the Employer, including negotiations but excluding conciliation and arbitration. For the purposes of clarity, this will cover meetings with representatives of the Employer, whether on or outside the Employer=s premises, for which permission has been granted.
UNION COMMITTEE STEWARDS. The Union may elect or otherwise select five (5) union stewards consisting of employees who have completed their probationary period. It is understood that the Employer shall not be required to meet with more than one xxxxxxx in the settling of grievances at a time. A member of the grievance committee may, where a grievance must reasonably be dealt with during working hours, assist an employee in presenting a grievance without loss of pay, provided the committee member has obtained her consent, (which shall not be unreasonably withheld), to leave her work station, deals with the grievance promptly and reports to her supervisor upon her return. Members of the grievance committee are not covered under this article until named in writing by the Union to the Employer. Meetings between the grievance committee and the Employer shall take place at times mutually agreed to. least once every three months or more frequently as deemed necessary by the committee to discuss workplace issues. Suitable subjects for discussion will include orientation and aggressive residents. The business agent may attend any meeting.
UNION COMMITTEE STEWARDS. (a) It is mutually agreed that where negotiations or grievances are being conducted between the parties, the Union will elect, designate or otherwise select a committee consisting of three (3) representatives (Union Stewards) and two (2) alternates. (b) All members of the committee shall be current employees of the Employer who have completed their probationary period.
UNION COMMITTEE STEWARDS. 6.01 The Company will recognize up to two (2) Stewards selected from members of the bargaining unit, not more than two (2) of which shall meet with the Company at any one time. The Company shall be advised of the names of the Stewards and shall be notified of any changes from time to time. 6.02 The Union acknowledges that the Stewards have regular duties to perform on behalf of the Company. The Xxxxxxx shall, with the consent of their Supervisor, be permitted to leave their regular duties for a reasonable length of time without loss of pay, to function as a Xxxxxxx as provided for in this Collective Agreement for the prompt handling of necessary Union business, with Management, such consent from the Supervisor shall not be unreasonably withheld. When returning to regular duties the Xxxxxxx shall first report to one of the General Managers. 6.03 It is agreed that the Union has the right to elect or otherwise select a Negotiating Committee consisting of one (1) member. The Employer agrees to pay one (1) member of the Negotiating Committee, six (6) hours pay per day for each day spent in negotiations with the Company, up to a maximum of three (3) days of negotiations. 6.04 All members of the Committee shall be employees who are members of the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period. 6.05 The Employer agrees to pay one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of a meeting room for all negotiations. The Employer will provide a meeting room for all negotiations at a location provided by the Company.
UNION COMMITTEE STEWARDS. The Employer recognizes that the Union has the right to appoint or to otherwise select a negotiating committee consisting of three (3) Union Representatives from the full-time and two (2) representatives from the part-time. members of the committee shall be regular employees of the Employer who have completed their probationary period. An employee who is a member of the negotiating committee shall be paid his regular rate for all regularly scheduled hours lost due to attending the negotiations meetings with the Management, up to the time application is made for Conciliation Services, and the services of the Conciliation Officer are used.

The employee must have completed her probationary period. b) The Employee on the bargaining committee will be paid by the employer at her straight time hourly rate of pay for all regularly scheduled hours missed due to attendance in direct negotiations with the Employer up to and including conciliation, but not thereafter.
