STORM WATER PROTECTION. The Contractor shall perform, track, participate, implement, and comply with storm water pollution prevention minimum control measures, protocols, and best management practices (BMP) and ensure that water quality standards are not violated in accordance with all regulations and policies as they apply to the Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System general permits. Applicable permits include: 1) Texas Construction General Permit (TXR150000). Contractors will obtain permit coverage for construction activities disturbing over one acre of land (total acreage is cumulative across all portions of the project). BMPs include, but are not limited to: • Preparing and implementing a site-specific Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) as outlined in the permit and prior to any soil disturbance. • Installing and managing erosion and sediment control. • Make available, upon request, permit associated documentation. • Practicing spill prevention and good housekeeping. • Meeting the requirements of the MS4 permit.

STORM WATER PROTECTION. Xxxxxxxxx shall comply with the City's Jurisdictional Urban Runoff Management Plan encompassing citywide programs and activities designed to prevent and reduce storm water pollution within City boundaries as adopted by the City Council on January 22, 2008, via Resolution NO. 303351. Hawthorne shall comply with each City facility or work site's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and institute all controls needed while completing the Scope of Services to minimize any negative impact to the storm water collection system and environment.
STORM WATER PROTECTION. Storm water protection shall be maintained in conformance with the SWPPP previously submitted to the City.
STORM WATER PROTECTION. A SWPPP plan shall be developed and implemented by the Owner and/or the Contractor for the project. Subcontractor/Tier-subcontractor is required to utilize Best Management Practices to maintain the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan as it relates to his own scope of work on this project in compliance with all State, County and Local Authority Rules and Regulations. Subcontractor/Tier-subcontractor shall abide by NPDES General Permit Requirements for Construction Activity and all Contract Document requirements for storm water prevention activities related the their scope of work. Any SWPPP measures disturbed in the execution of Subcontractor’s work shall be replaced by the Subcontractor.

  • Flood Disaster Protection This contract is subject to the requirements of the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973 (P.L.93-234). Nothing included as a part of this contract is approved for acquisition or construction purposes as defined under Section 3(a) of said Act, for use in an area identified by the Secretary of HUD as having special flood hazards which is located in a community not then in compliance with the requirements for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program pursuant to Section 201(d) of said Act; and the use of any assistance provided under this contract for such acquisition for construction in such identified areas in communities then participating in the National Flood Insurance Program shall be subject to the mandatory purchase of flood insurance requirements or Section 102(a) of said Act. Any contract or agreement for the sale, lease, or other transfer of land acquired, cleared or improved with assistance provided under this Contract shall contain, if such land is located in an area identified by the Secretary as having special flood hazards and in which the sale of flood insurance has been made available under the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 4001 et seq., provisions obligating the transferee and its successors or assigns to obtain and maintain, during the ownership of such land, such flood insurance as required with respect to financial assistance for acquisition or construction purposes under Section 102(a) of Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973.

  • Requirements for Protection In compliance with NPCC requirements and Good Utility Practice, Developer shall provide, install, own, and maintain relays, circuit breakers and all other devices necessary to remove any fault contribution of the Large Generating Facility to any short circuit occurring on the New York State Transmission System not otherwise isolated by Connecting Transmission Owner’s equipment, such that the removal of the fault contribution shall be coordinated with the protective requirements of the New York State Transmission System. Such protective equipment shall include, without limitation, a disconnecting device or switch with load- interrupting capability located between the Large Generating Facility and the New York State Transmission System at a site selected upon mutual agreement (not to be unreasonably withheld, conditioned or delayed) of the Developer and Connecting Transmission Owner. Developer shall be responsible for protection of the Large Generating Facility and Developer’s other equipment from such conditions as negative sequence currents, over- or under-frequency, sudden load rejection, over- or under-voltage, and generator loss-of-field. Developer shall be solely responsible to disconnect the Large Generating Facility and Developer’s other equipment if conditions on the New York State Transmission System could adversely affect the Large Generating Facility.

  • Staff Protection A. The District shall protect certificated employees acting within the scope of their employment by purchasing liability insurance in the amount of at least five million dollars ($5,000,000) per occurrence, and the District shall include the certificated employees as named insured under the liability insurance and errors and omissions policy of the school district.

  • ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND HEALTH PROTECTION (a) Seller shall perform this Agreement in a manner that ensures adequate protection for workers, the public, and the environment, and shall be accountable for actions of itself and its lower-tier subcontractors, agents and employees. Seller shall exercise a degree of care commensurate with the work and the associated hazards. Seller shall ensure that management of environment, safety and health (ES&H) functions and activities is an integral and visible part of Seller’s work planning and execution process. In the event that Xxxxxx fails to comply with this Agreement, Company may, without prejudice to any other legal or contractual rights, issue an order stopping all or any part of the work; thereafter a start order for resumption of work may be issued at Company’s discretion. Seller shall make no claim for an extension of time or for compensation or damages by reason of or in connection with such work stoppage. In addition, Company may require, in writing, that Seller remove from the work any employee the Company deems unsafe, incompetent, careless, or otherwise objectionable.
