- Study Plan Development. This project component will identify the goals of a water demand forecast model for Spokane County , the appropriate methodology to develop a demand forecast model that achieves the goals and data required to for model development. The study plan will also include an assessment of existing data and new data for collection. A consultant will be retained to lead this effort with input from an advisory committee. The study plan will identify tasks and resources required to complete tasks 3, 4, and 5. Task 1: Rural Residential Water Use Survey and Characterization: In conjunction with the Franklin and Spokane County Conservation Districts water use surveys will be distributed to area classrooms during the “Water on Wheels” education program that will be implemented in Spokane County during the 2009 -10 school year. Water on Wheels is a hands-on water, soil, and energy conservation program teaching students critical-thinking skills geared toward natural resource conservation. Water on Wheels has been taught in eastern Washington for over 8 years and has a reputation for being a valuable resource for classroom teachers. Water on Wheels is offered to classrooms grades Kindergarten through 12 th. Teachers choose from over 13 different lessons that best fit with their existing curriculums The Water on Wheels Educator will explain and distribute water use surveys during each Water on Wheels lesson conducted in the county. Students will share the survey with their parents to get accurate data. The survey will be developed by Spokane County Water Resources with input provided by Franklin County Conservation District and the Water on Wheels Educator. Surveys will be returned to classroom teachers who will distribute incentives (water conservation kits) to students who return completed surveys. The Water on Wheels Educator and Spokane County Water Resource s staff will provide direction and assistance to participating teachers as needed. Teachers will return completed surveys to the Water Resources Department of Spokane County Public Works where the data will be analyzed. Spokane County will develop and ho st an online survey as an optional method of survey completion and submittal. Deliverable(s): Final Report describing the survey process and results.   • Program Development NWESD agrees that priority in the development of new applications services by XXXXX shall be in accordance with the expressed direction of the XXXXX Board of Directors operating under their bylaws.

  • Faculty Development Faculty who develop and/or teach Distance Education courses shall be provided with reasonable technical support and opportunities for Faculty development, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In the event that a Faculty member develops and/or teaches a Distance Education course for the first time, the Faculty member shall receive reasonable and appropriate professional development and technical support assistance, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In instances of succeeding assignments to teach Distance Education courses, the Faculty member is expected to demonstrate a level of technical competence sufficient to teach the course. Ongoing technical support assistance may be available to Faculty who teach succeeding offerings of the same course.
