Common use of Substitute Priority Clause in Contracts

Substitute Priority. A laid off employee shall, upon application and at the employee’s option, be granted priority status on the substitute list according to the employee’s seniority, provided the laid off employee has the qualifications and ability to perform the work. A laid off employee who repeatedly refuses substitute work may be removed from the substitute list.
