Summer Assignment. 94 (a) The supplemental summer instructional assignment, like that for the academic year, 95 includes the normal activities related to such an assignment as defined by the 96 department/unit and the nature of the course, such as course preparation, minor curriculum 97 development, lectures, evaluation of student efforts, academic advising, research, and 98 service, including, but not limited to, department, college, and university committee 99 meetings. 100 (b) The employee may be assigned reasonable and necessary non-instructional duties 101 related to the summer instructional appointment prior to the conclusion of the academic 102 year appointment. 103
