SUPPORT FOR BASIC AND UNSATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE. 1. When a teacher is judged below Proficient, the following conditions and provisions shall be offered to the employee in support of their professional development: Support Options May include: • Four (4) days of district funded release time to observe colleagues’ instruction • Additional/different certificated employee evaluator • A mentor • Voluntary structured support plan • In-service training • Required mentor (RCW 28A.405.140) • Be compensated at the curriculum rate of pay for any time that occurs outside the normal work day /year
