Suspension and Dismissal Grievance. All suspensions and dismissals will be subject to the formal grievance procedure under Article 8 of this Agreement or Article 3.3 of the Common Agreement. A copy of the written notice of suspension or dismissal shall be forwarded to the President of the Union and to the local B.C. Government & Service Employees' Union Area Office within five (5) days of the action being taken.

  • SUSPENSION AND DISCIPLINE 29.01 When an employee is suspended or discharged from duty, the Employer undertakes to notify the employee in writing, with a copy to the Association, of the reason for such suspension or discharge. The Employer shall endeavour to give such notification at the time of suspension or discharge.

  • DISCIPLINE AND DISMISSAL 6.8.1 The following principles are to be followed when dealing with disciplinary matters:

  • DISCHARGE, SUSPENSION AND DISCIPLINE 14.01 (a) In the event an Employee is suspended as a disciplinary measure and the Employee considers that an injustice has been done, the matter may be taken up at Step 2 of the Grievance Procedure.

Prior to suspending or discharging an employee, provided they have completed their probationary period, such employee and the Union Xxxxxxx shall be given the reasons in writing, by the Employer, for the suspension or discharge.

  • Complaints and Dispute Resolution 16.1 Where a dispute arises in connection with any aspect of this Agreement, the parties acting with good faith, will use all reasonable endeavours to bring any such issue to the attention of the other party in a timely fashion and in any event within 60 days of any such dispute coming to their attention.

  • Dismissal and Suspension Grievance All dismissals and suspensions will be subject to formal grievance procedure under Article 8. A copy of the written notice of dismissal or suspension shall be forwarded to the President of the Union within five (5) days of the action being taken.

  • DISCHARGE AND DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE 8.01 Management shall not take disciplinary action without first warning the employee, unless the circumstances justify immediate suspension or discharge. In the event of a claim that an employee has been discharged or suspended unjustly or unreasonably, the grievance shall be filed at Step Three (3) of the grievance procedure within five (5) working days.
