Sustainable Design Principles. A set of six sustainable design principles were used as a basis to assess the sustainability of the Urban Design Framework Plan (UDFP) presented to the public during Stage 2 Public Engagement. These principles were derived from the findings on the sustainable design framework established for Stage 1 Public Engagement. Since no adverse comments on these principles were received, the same principles are being used to assess the sustainability of the Refinement of Design Concepts of Key Sites. This would give a comparable evaluation of any changes in overall sustainability performance of the refined scheme against the previous proposed MLPs.
