Tandem Switching Traffic. Tandem Switching Traffic. GTE will provide tandem switching for Local Traffic between the Parties' end offices as well as for Local Traffic between either Party's end users and any Third Party which is interconnected to GTE’s access tandems as follows:
Tandem Switching Traffic. The Parties will provide tandem switching for traffic between the Parties' end offices subtending each other's access tandem, as well as for traffic between either Party's end-users and any third party which is interconnected to the other Party's access tandems as follows: The originating Party will compensate the tandem Party for each minute of originated tandem switched traffic which terminates to third party (e.g., other CLEC, ILEC, or wireless service provider). The applicable rate for this charge is the tandem transiting charge identified in Appendix A. The originating Party also assumes responsibility for compensation to the company which terminates the call. The Parties agree to enter into their own agreements with third-party providers. In the event that Mpower sends traffic through GTE’s network to a third-party provider with whom Mpower does not have a traffic interexchange agreement, then Mpower agrees to indemnify GTE for any termination charges rendered by a third-party provider for such traffic.

The Parties will provide tandem switching for traffic between the Parties' end offices subtending each other's access tandem, as well as for traffic between either Party's end-users and any third party which is interconnected to the other Party's access tandems as follows: The originating Party will compensate the tandem Party for each minute of originated tandem switched traffic which terminates to third party (e.g., other CLEC, ILEC, or wireless service provider). The applicable rate for this charge is the tandem transiting charge identified in Appendix A. The originating Party also assumes responsibility for compensation to the company which terminates the call. Level 3 shall exercise its best efforts to enter into a reciprocal Telephone Exchange Service traffic arrangement (either via written agreement or mutual Tariffs) with any CLEC, ILEC, CMRS carrier, or other LEC, to which it delivers Telephone Exchange Service traffic that transits CenturyTel’s Tandem Office. If Level 3 does not enter into and provide notice to CenturyTel of the above referenced arrangement within 180 days of the initial traffic exchange with relevant third party carriers, then CenturyTel may, at its sole discretion, terminate Tandem Transit Service at anytime upon thirty (30) days written notice to Level 3. Level 3 shall deliver each Tandem Transit Traffic call to CenturyTel with CCS and the appropriate Transactional Capabilities Application Part (“TCAP”) message to facilitate full interoperability of CLASS Features and billing functions. The Parties will mutually agree to the types of records to be exchanged until industry standards are established and implemented.

CenturyTel will provide tandem switching for traffic between the Parties' end offices subtending each other's access tandem, as well as for traffic between either ACC’s end offices subtending or interconnected with the CenturyTel access tandem, as well as for traffic between ACC’s end users and any other Local Provider which is interconnected to the CenturyTel access tandems as follows: ACC will compensate CenturyTel for each minute of originated tandem switched traffic which terminates to third party (e.g., other CLEC, ILEC, or wireless service provider). The applicable rate for this charge is the tandem transiting charge identified in Appendix C. ACC also assumes responsibility for compensation to the company which terminates the call. The Parties agree to enter into their own agreements with third-party providers. In the event that ACC sends traffic through CenturyTel’s network to a third-party provider with whom ACC does not have a traffic interexchange agreement, then ACC agrees to indemnify CenturyTel for any termination charges rendered by a third-party provider for such traffic.
