Actions We May Take if You Engage in Any Restricted Activities If we believe that you’ve engaged in any of these activities, we may take a number of actions to protect PayPal, its customers and others at any time in our sole discretion. The actions we make take include, but are not limited to, the following: • Terminate this user agreement, limit your account, and/or close or suspend your account, immediately and without penalty to us; • Refuse to provide the PayPal services to you in the future; • At any time and without liability, suspend, limit or terminate your access to our websites, software, systems (including any networks and servers used to provide any of the PayPal services) operated by us or on our behalf, your PayPal account or any of the PayPal services, including limiting your ability to pay or send money with any of the payment methods linked to your PayPal account, restricting your ability to send money or make withdrawals; • Hold your money to the extent and for so long as reasonably needed to protect against the risk of liability. You acknowledge that, as a non-exhaustive guide: • PayPal’s risk of liability in respect of card-funded payments that you receive can last until the risk of a chargeback closing in favour of the payer/buyer (as determined by card scheme rules) has passed. Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.
Leave of Absence for Full-Time Union or Public Duties An employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union or anybody with which the Union is affiliated, or who is elected to public office, shall be granted leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority.
Utilization of Sick Leave with Pay Temporary employees who have earned sick leave credits in their temporary appointment shall be eligible for sick leave for any period of absence from employment due to any of the following reasons: • illness; • bodily injury; • disability resulting from pregnancy; • necessity for medical or dental care; • if the employee is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault, or stalking; or the parent or guardian of a minor child or dependent who is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault or stalking, pursuant to ORS 659A.270 through 659A.290; • attendance at an employee assistance program; • exposure to contagious disease; • for the emergency repair of personal assistive devices which are medically necessary for the employee to perform assigned duties; • attendance upon members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family, or the equivalent of each for domestic partners, (parent, wife, husband, children, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, or another member of the immediate household) where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or death; • parental leave. The employee has the duty to insure that they make other arrangements, within a reasonable period of time, for the attendance upon children or other persons in the employee’s care. Certification of an attending physician or practitioner may be required by the Agency to support the employee’s claim for sick leave if the employee is absent in excess of seven (7) days, or if the Agency has evidence that the employee is abusing sick leave privileges. The Agency may also require such certificate from an employee to determine whether the employee should be allowed to return to work where the Agency has reason to believe that the employee’s return to work would be a health hazard to either the employee or to others. (See Section 4 for FMLA and OFLA.)
DEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Subject to the provisions of Articles 16, 18 and 19, salaries, wages and other similar remuneration derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of an employment shall be taxable only in that State unless the employment is exercised in the other Contracting State. If the employment is so exercised, such remuneration as is derived therefrom may be taxed in that other State.
Other Than Normal Working Hours Non-prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, and any time Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. The Contractor will perform Tasks during Other Than Normal Working Hours for the Unit Price set forth in the CTC multiplied by the Adjustment Factor of: 1.
RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT 55.01 Unless otherwise specified by the Employer as being in an area that could represent a conflict of interest, employees shall not be restricted in engaging in other employment outside the hours they are required to work for the Employer.
Rights While on Leave A bargaining unit member approved for a professional conference shall receive full salary while in attendance at said conference. In addition, an estimate of cost of reimbursement will be submitted with the request.
EMPLOYMENT OF UNAUTHORIZED ALIENS PROHIBITED In accordance with §2.2-4311.1 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, the Contractor must not during the performance of this Contract knowingly employ an unauthorized alien, as that term is defined in the federal Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
Full-Time Union or Public Duties The Employer shall grant, on written request, leave of absence without pay:
