Temporary Change of Duties. Where an employee is appointed, in writing, to act in a higher level position for a minimum of five (5) consecutive work days (including General Holidays), their salary for the whole of the period will be determined in accordance with the following provisions: 7.06.01 Providing the maximum salary assigned to the acting level is not exceeded, the acting pay shall be one (1) increment higher than the employee’s current pay band and step or the initial salary of the acting position, whichever is greater. 7.06.02 If the employee is appointed to act in a management or out-of- scope position, the acting pay shall be no less than five percent (5%) or as determined by the Employer. During the acting periods, the employee shall continue to pay applicable Union dues.
