TEMPORARY CHANGES IN STARTING TIME, SHIFT. OR WORKWEEK - A temporary change (one (1) to seven (7) days) in an employee's 1) starting time within the same shift, 2) regular shift (i.e., day, swing or graveyard), or 3) workweek may be made in emergency situations or for the purpose of facilitating attendance at seminars, training, or District-wide employee meetings/activities without incurring overtime liability unless the change results in the employee working more than ten (10) hours (eight (8) hours for employees on 5/8’s) during a shift or more than 40 hours in a workweek. Temporary changes for other than the reasons specified above require written notice to the employee 48 hours prior to the time the change is effective. If the temporary change is instituted without the required notice, overtime shall be paid for all hours worked during the remainder of the workweek of such change. In no event shall the operation of the above rules result in the "pyramiding" of overtime.

  • CHANGES IN SCOPE OF SERVICES Only the Xxxxxx County Board of Supervisors has the authority to agree to any extension of time, change order, change in the scope of work, change in the contract price, or other term or condition affecting either Contractor's or County's duties set forth herein. Adjustments in compensation, if any, shall be determined through negotiation between the parties to the Agreement and are subject to approval by the Board of Supervisors. Contractor acknowledges that no County staff person or County officer other than the Board of Supervisors has the power to amend the terms and conditions of this Agreement. Any change not so authorized in advance in writing by the Board of Supervisors shall be null and void.

  • Changes in Service This Agreement is made in good faith based upon the present and projected conditions and the quality of the equipment and/or Property, as well as its present ownership and management. Should changes in any of these elements occur which the Judicial Council believes may adversely affect the Program, the Judicial Council reserves the right to renegotiate this Agreement or terminate pursuant to the termination for cause provision, as set forth herein, without penalty or prejudice.

  • CHANGES IN SCOPE Any changes in the scope of the Services to be performed under this Contract shall be in the form of a written amendment to this Contract, mutually agreed to and signed by both parties, specifying any such changes, fee adjustments, any adjustment in time of performance, or any other significant factors arising from the changes in the scope of Services.

  • Starting Rates Each employee who enters the service of the Company shall normally begin employment at the Start Rate for the appropriate job title, except that appropriate allowance over such starting rate may be made by the Company for an employee who has had previous experience or training considered to be of value. If the Company hires an employee with no prior training or experience at a rate of pay higher than the Start Rate, it shall raise the existing wage rate of all incumbents in that title and Market to match the rate of pay for the newly hired employee effective with the date of hire.

  • Leave of Absence for Full-Time Union or Public Duties An employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union or anybody with which the Union is affiliated, or who is elected to public office, shall be granted leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority.

  • Partial Disposal During Term of Service Agreement Throughout the Term of the Service Agreement, LEA may request partial disposal of Student Data obtained under the Service Agreement that is no longer needed. Partial disposal of data shall be subject to LEA’s request to transfer data to a separate account, pursuant to Article II, section 3, above.

  • Starting Work An employee who starts work and is prevented from completing his normal work day shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at his prevailing hourly rate. The employee shall also receive his full accommodation allowance if and when applicable.

  • Leave of Absence for Union Business (a) The Employer shall grant leaves of absence to employees to attend Union Conventions, negotiations of the Collective Agreement with the Employer and other Union business. The Union agrees that such leave will not unduly affect the proper operations or be detrimental to the proficient operations of the Employer.

  • Completion of Probationary Period An employee who has completed the probationary period may be suspended without pay or discharged only for just cause.
