Temporary Curb Cut Wheelchair Ramps. Temporary curb cut wheelchair ramps are measured as the actual number formed and poured, complete and accepted, which shall include all necessary materials, equipment, labor, site preparation, maintenance and removal. No additional payment will be made for sawing existing sidewalk and removal and disposal of removed material for temporary wheelchair ramp construction. No additional payment will be made for constructing the detectable warning surface.

Temporary Curb Cut Wheelchair Ramps. Temporary curb cut wheelchair ramps shall be constructed in accordance with Section 441 and Construction Detail A-3 Curb Cut (Wheelchair) Ramps Concrete Sidewalk Details. Ramps shall also include a detectable warning surface in accordance with Construction Detail A-4 Detectable Warning Surface Truncated Dome Size, Spacing and Alignment Requirements. Other types of material for the construction of the temporary curb cut wheelchair ramps, including the detectable warning surface, may be used provided the Contractor can provide documentation that the material to be used meets the requirements of theAmericans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities (ADAAG)”. When a wheelchair ramp is no longer required, remove the temporary materials and restore the area to existing conditions or as shown in the Plans. For the items required to restore the area to original conditions or as shown in the Plans, measures for payment shall be covered by Contract pay items. If pay items are not included in the Contract, then payment for these items shall be included in Traffic Control-Lump Sum.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.
