Temporary Living Expenses. An employee shall be entitled to reimbursement for meals and lodging for up to twenty (20) working days, as provided by procedures of the Department of Administrative Services, following a transfer initiated by the Employer.

Temporary Living Expenses. An employee may be reimbursed for the short-term rental of an apartment, house, or other residence instead of being reimbursed for hotel or motel room rental, with the written approval of the Appointing Authority, provided that the rental rate for the alternative housing is less than or comparable to hotel or motel rates and provided that the rental residence is available to all potential renters. When reviewing requests for rental of alternative short-term housing, Appointing Authorities may take into account the lower cost of groceries for the employee compared to reimbursement for restaurant meals.

Temporary Living Expenses. The Company also will pay for ------------------------- Executive's temporary living costs to make Executive whole until such time as the Executive, his spouse and dependent children permanently relocate to the Bay Area. The Executive shall present appropriate supporting documentation of such costs in accordance with the Company's generally applicable policies. The Company and Executive agree that such costs cannot be fully anticipated at this time, but may total $200,000 to $300,000, and may include, but are not limited to, the following: (a) a monthly housing allowance for rental of a furnished apartment for Executive's family in Tokyo, Japan; (b) a monthly housing allowance for Executive's rental of temporary housing in the Bay Area; (c) tuition and related educational fees for Executive's dependent son; (d) monthly support for Executive's spouse and dependent child in Tokyo, Japan through Relocation Services; and (e) reimbursement for two roundtrip business class airfares per month for either Executive to return to Tokyo, Japan or Executive's spouse and dependent child to travel to the Bay Area. The Executive will book such travel arrangements as far in advance as practicable to minimize the expense of such airfare, and make all possible efforts to consolidate business travel with trips to Tokyo. In the event there are additional unanticipated temporary living expenses, the Company will evaluate in good faith payment of such expenses with the intent to make the Executive whole.
Temporary Living Expenses. Broadcom will arrange for and pay for the movement of your household goods and storage thereof for up to six (6) months. Broadcom will also provide rental reimbursement for temporary housing for you and your family in the Orange County, California area for up to six (6) months. To the extent that Broadcom's payment of moving, storage or rental expenses results in federal or state taxable income to you, upon your certification to Broadcom of the state and federal tax rates applicable to you for the applicable period(s), Broadcom will make a cash payment to you equal to the amount of the additional federal and state income taxes payable according to such tax rates. Such payment will be made within thirty (30) days after you provide such certification. Meals, phone services, utilities and miscellaneous expenses while staying in the temporary housing are not reimbursable unless otherwise reimbursable as regular business expenses.
Temporary Living Expenses. The Company will reimburse you for reasonable temporary living expenses while your goods are in transit for up to a total of 60 days after you are required to vacate your regular U.S. residence and or upon arrival in the Host Country.
