Temporary Full-time Contract Status a. A temporary full-time contract may be issued to fill full-time positions which are known to be temporary at the time of issuance. Temporary full- time contracts shall be issued only for special programs and for replacements for full-time Faculty members who are on leave, who have been terminated, or who have resigned or otherwise left the College without completing their contracts. b. A temporary full-time contract may be issued for a period up to but not to exceed twelve (12) months. A Faculty member employed under temporary full-time contract status may be hired into another temporary position. If a full-time Faculty member who has been employed by the College for at least twenty (20) instructional months under temporary full- time contract status is rehired, except as a replacement for a full-time Faculty member who is on leave, or who has been terminated, or who has resigned or otherwise left the College without completing his contract, he shall be offered a continuing contract. c. A Faculty member employed under temporary full-time contract status who fails to have his contract renewed shall not have recourse to the grievance procedure because of that failure.
