Common use of Temporary Schedule Changes Clause in Contracts

Temporary Schedule Changes. Employees’ workweeks and/or work schedules may be temporarily changed with prior notice from the University. A temporary schedule change is defined as a change lasting twenty-one (21) calendar days or less. Overtime-eligible employees will receive five (5) calendar days’ written and verbal notice of any temporary schedule change. The day that notification is given is considered the first day of notice. Notice will normally be given to the affected employees during their scheduled working hours. If an affected employee is on extended leave, notice may be sent to the employee’s last known address. In the event a scheduled employee is assigned a temporary schedule change with less than five (5) calendar days’ notice for reasons other than the employee’s request, the employee will be given the option to work their regular schedule in addition to the modified schedule.
