Temporary Total or Temporary Partial Disability. All time off work due to a job-related injury/illness must be approved by the City Physician/City Nurse. If loss time is incurred, continuation of salary under Florida Statute requires that a compensable injury or illness be paid for at the rate of 66 2/3 % of the employee’s average earnings to a maximum as established by the State. However, the City will compensate in the following manner for each temporary total or temporary partial disability caused by an initial on the job injury. In determining the period of time listed below, all absences shall be cumulative calendar days.
