Common use of Term Duty with Pay Clause in Contracts

Term Duty with Pay. Any individual employed by The School Board of Palm Beach County who is a member of the United States Military Reserve or the National Guard shall be entitled to leave of absence from his/her respective duties without loss of pay when he/she is ordered to active duty by the appropriate unit provided: Leaves granted shall be a matter of legal right and shall not exceed the number of days authorized by the Florida Statutes. All efforts shall be made to prevent such leave being taken during the time school is in session. Requests for temporary military service leave shall be made by letter and shall be filed with the Superintendent for Board action. If possible, this shall be done prior to the date of leave.
