HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 shall be paid without the performance of work for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. When any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday.
(a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level.
(b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control.
(c) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to a lay-off during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day period.
(d) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period.
(e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday.

HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 18.01 The following days will be observed as paid holidays for employees: New Year's Day Labour Day Xxxxx Xxxx Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday (1ST Monday in August) If, during the life of this Agreement, a holiday should be declared by government which is not listed above and which is to be generally observed in the Province of Manitoba, such holiday shall be observed and paid by the Company under the same terms and conditions as apply to the holidays which are listed above.
18.02 In order to qualify for payment for any of the holidays referred to in Article 18.01, each employee must have worked on his last scheduled shift immediately preceding the holiday and his first scheduled shift immediately following the holiday (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day) unless he/she was absent due to illness or injury, in which event the employee must provide to the Company satisfactory medical evidence that he/she was unable to work due to illness or injury, or unless he/she was absent due to an authorized leave of absence of not more than thirty

HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. A. The holiday schedule for each contract year shall provide for no less than eighteen
B. At the time the school calendar is prepared, the Union will be consulted regarding holidays to be allowed. It is understood that the school calendar must vary from year to year in accordance with the New York State regulations regarding the number of days school must be in session and, therefore, flexibility in scheduling is necessary. It is further understood that the Board will make a good faith effort to increase the number of holidays whenever possible.
HOLIDAYS WITH PAY.
11.1. During the term of this Agreement, any employee covered by this Contract shall observe ten (10) holidays as days off and with full pay:
11.2. Employees must be on the job the last scheduled work day preceding a school holiday and the first scheduled work day following a school holiday in order to be eligible for holiday pay. However, employees on paid sick leave, bereavement leave, or jury duty will be paid for the holiday.
11.3. If school is in session on Veteran’s Day, the employee will be required to work on that day but will be granted one (1) day off annually at a time mutually agreeable to the Supervisor and the employee. The day off will be considered a “floating holiday” without stipulations. This floating holiday will not be denied in conjunction with other holidays, weekends, personal days, or vacation and can be taken anytime during the year with the mutual agreement of the immediate supervisor and that employee.
