Common use of Term of Coverage Clause in Contracts

Term of Coverage. Except as otherwise specified in this Contract, the insurance will commence on or prior to the effective date of this Contract and will be maintained in force throughout the duration of this Contract. Five years’ completed operations coverage must be maintained on all general liability policies and all professional liability policies, effective on the date of substantial completion of the design phase or the termination of this Contract, whichever is earlier. If Professional or Pollution liability coverage required is written on a claims made coverage form, the retroactive date must be shown, and this date must be before the earlier of the execution date of the Contract or the beginning of Contract Work.
