The Grievance Procedure. (a) Step 1 An Employee who has a grievance shall, within ten (10) days of the date they become aware of, or reasonably should have become aware of, the occurrence which led to the grievance, first discuss the matter with their immediate supervisor and attempt to resolve the grievance at this stage. In the event that it is not resolved satisfactorily to the Employee, it may be advanced in accordance with the following Steps. (b) Step 2 If: (i) an individual grievance, within ten (10) days of discussing the grievance with their immediate supervisor in Step 1; or (ii) a group grievance, within ten (10) days of the date any of the aggrieved Parties became aware of the event or reasonably should have become aware of the event leading to the grievance, the grievance shall be submitted, in writing, stating the Article claimed to have been violated, the nature of the grievance and the redress sought. The grievance will be responded to, in writing, by the appropriate designated representative within ten (10) days of receiving the grievance. If the grievance is not settled at this stage, it may be advanced to Step 3.

(particulars of the remedy) sought and (4) the signature of the representative of the Union.
(iv) The grievance will be responded to, in writing, by the appropriate Director of Employee Engagement or designated representative representative, within ten (10) days of receiving the grievance. If the grievance is not settled at this stage, it may be advanced to Step 3.ten

The Grievance Procedure. (a) Step 1 In order to encourage resolution of a grievance, the Parties agree to provide disclosure of information relevant to the grievance as soon as reasonably possible. This information includes that which either Party intends to rely on to support their position. If the grievance is not settled at this stage, it may be advanced to Step 3.

(i) Where an Employee is not satisfied with the response at step 1, from their immediate supervisor, she may submit in writing an individual grievance, at step 2 to the Centre Executive Director or designate within ten (10) days of discussing the grievance with their immediate supervisor in Step 1; or;
(ii) If the grievance is a group grievance, it shall be submitted in writing at step 2 to the Centre Executive Director or designate within ten (10) days of the date any of the aggrieved Parties became aware of the event or reasonably should have become aware of the event leading to the grievance, the . The grievance shall be submitted, in writing, stating the Article Article(s) claimed to have been violated, the nature of the grievance and the redress sought. The Centre Executive Director or designate shall hold a hearing within ten (10) days of receipt of the grievance. The Employee shall be entitled to have a representative of the Union present during the meeting. The grievance will be responded to, in writing, by the appropriate designated representative Centre Executive Director or designate within ten (10) days of receiving the grievancegrievance hearing at step 2. If the grievance is not settled at this stage, it may be advanced to Step 3.
(c) Step 3 (Vice President, Human Resources)
(d) The Union shall provide a copy of the written grievance at Step 2 and Step 3 shall be submitted to the Manager, Labour Relations.
