TRADING OF DAYS. 15.1: Trading of days may be allowed for full-time employees, subject to the approval of the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police has discretion to refuse days only if a trade affects needed skills and coverage. A. The Chief of Police will be notified at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the trade. B. The employee offering to make a trade will be responsible for the shift coverage in the event the employee accepting the offer to trade fails to show for any reason.
