Training outside of assigned hours. When the training occurs at times other than the employee's regular working hours, the employees will be paid at the appropriate rate of pay. When such training necessitates that an employee work overtime, as defined in Article VI Section 5, the employee shall be compensated at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular rate of pay.

Training outside of assigned hours. When the training occurs at times other than the employee's regular working hours, the employee will be paid at the appropriate rate of pay. Training outside of an employee’s regular work hours shall be on a voluntary basis and shall not be made mandatory by the supervisor. However, failure to possess or keep in effect any license, certificate, or permit required shall be subject to the disciplinary action of the employee as outlined in Article XII, subd. 3.9 of this Agreement.

It is also agreed that a representative of the union will be given an opportunity to interview each employee once within the completing month of his/her probationary period for the purpose of ascertaining the wishes of the employee concerning membership in the Union. Such interview may take place on the day of orientation. The Hospital will notify the Union monthly of the names of those employees who are completing their probationary period and on request will arrange a time and place for such interview that time of which shall not exceed 15 minutes. Neither employee shall suffer loss of regular pay as a result of such interview.
