Training Programs. A. Training for Initial Certification The Board agrees to pay for the costs (i.e., salary, tuition, and registration fees) of police academy training for employees hired on or after July 1, 1983 who lack proper certification when hired by the Board. Such employees who receive Board-paid police academy training agree to work for the Board for a minimum period of 36 months after successful completion of said training.
