Common use of Transfer Outside Bargaining Unit Clause in Contracts

Transfer Outside Bargaining Unit. A bargaining unit member who accepts a job in the District outside of the bargaining unit (without a break in service) shall maintain his/her previous job classification and bargaining unit seniority. If he/she resumes his/her employment at some future date in the bargaining unit [without a break in service] he/she shall resume his/her job classification seniority (if he/she goes to the same classification) and his/her bargaining unit seniority. The period of time spent in a District position outside of the bargaining unit shall only count toward District seniority.
