Common use of Transfer Process Clause in Contracts

Transfer Process. Upon proper notice and concurrence by the City Manager, an employee may be transferred by the appointing authority from one position to another in the same pay range provided he/she possesses the minimum qualifications as determined by the Human Resources Director. If the transfer involves a change from one department to another, both department heads must consent thereto unless the City Manager orders the transfer for purposes of economy and efficiency. The employee shall be given five (5) business days' written notice of the transfer including the reason for the change.
