Transportation Requirement. When transportation is the only remaining barrier to an individual’s discharge, the CSB shall implement and maintain a process with the applicable state hospital for resolving transportation issues so that discharge occurs within 72 hours of the individual being determined to be RFD.

Transportation Requirement. A transportation log must be included in the consumer chart for MSHN women’s specialty designated Providers, MSHN outpatient Providers and other qualified providers whose consumers are utilizing transportation services. In accordance with the Medicaid Provider Manual - Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, individuals transporting consumers must hold a valid driver's license appropriate to the class of vehicle being operated as defined by the Michigan Vehicle Code Act 300 of 1949. Transportation needs must be identified in the Plan of Service and clearly documented within the consumer’s individualized treatment plan. PAYOR strives to reduce transportation barriers to accessing services, using the best quality, consumer-friendly, cost-efficient means possible. Please refer to the Provider Manual for the full transportation requirements (Appendix G; Page 106).
