Tyres. The tyres should be "broken-in" prior to testing to remove spew, compound nodules or flashes resulting from the moulding process. The tyre surface in contact with snow shall be cleaned before performing a test. Tyres shall be conditioned at the outdoor ambient temperature at least two hours before their mounting for tests. Tyre pressures shall then be adjusted to the values specified for the test. In case a vehicle cannot accommodate both the reference and candidate tyres, a third tyre ("control" tyre) may be used as an intermediate. First test control vs. reference on another vehicle, then test candidate vs. control on the vehicle.
Tyres. The vehicle shall be tested with the tyres installed on the vehicle according to the vehicle manufacturer's recommendation. However, the spare tyre may be utilised for testing TPMS malfunction.
Tyres. The tyres are inflated to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended cold inflation pressure(s) e.g. as specified on the vehicle's placard or the tyre inflation pressure label. Tubes may be installed to prevent tyre de-beading.
Tyres. This options is available for Level 2 (excluding Just Add Fuel / Simply Drive) and Level 3. Our Authorised Repairers will replace Your tyres (like for like with Our choice of premium brand tyres) once the tyre’s tread reaches 2mm (or lower) on a fair wear and tear basis. Fair wear and tear will be determined at Our discretion based on Your Vehicle’s repair history and mileage usage. We will also cover the cost of repairs or replacement to punctured tyres (as determined at the Authorised Repairer’s discretion), wheel balancing and replacement of the puncture repair kit will also be completed as necessary. We will not cover the cost of repair or replacement of tyres where damage has been caused by kerbing, accidents or vandalism, or where the repair or replacement is not conducted by Our Authorised Repairer.
Tyres. Tyres have to be black. The design of the tyre profile is free. It is not allowed to treat the tyres in a racing facility. This means it is clearly forbidden. But if someone use it at home, it is recommended that the chemical components of these products must be harmless for people and environment. Liability at the use of tyre additives lies at the user and manufacturer. Oil of wintergreen, paragon and other strong-smelling products are prohibited Only Formula 1 cars following the FIA 2000/1 (or younger) Formula 1 Regulations are allowed. Paintwork and colour are free. The design of the visible suspension parts must have the same appearance than the original F1 cars. All cut-outs must exist also in the full-size car. Cut outs for the engine and fuel tank are allowed in the area of the tank seal, starting device and adjusting screws for carburettor i.e. choke, neutral gear etc. For Formula cars the side pods have to be used for the starting number. Minimum weight dry: 10.000 g Width Formula maximum: 450 mm (incl. tyres) Height maximum: 250 mm Wheel base: 620 mm +/-15 mm Fuel tank capacity: 700 cm³ (incl pipes to & from the carburettor and any fittings) Tyres front diameter: 142 mm +/- 5% = 134,9-149,1mm Tyres rear diameter: 142 mm +/- 5% = 134,9-149,1mm Tyre width front: min. 60mm, max. 75mm Tyre width rear: max. 85mm, (rear wheels must be min. 5mm wider than front wheels) Rims outside diameter: 80mm +/-5mm, (indicators must be the same on tyres & rims) No mixture of +/- is allowed on the wheels and tyres. No tyre will be measured after the race. • Tyres must be semi-pneumatic rubber. • They must be moulded in one piece • In case of rain the use of rain tyre can be allowed by the race director. • Max width 450 mm max. cord 120 mm. • The front spoiler must be fixed at the chassis, so that it can bend up or down in case of an accident.
Tyres. The tyres shall be inflated to pressures as specified by the vehicle manufacturer for the test vehicle at the laden condition. The tolerance for the inflation pressure in a cold state is " 2 per cent.
Tyres. 38.1 The Lease Payment shall include the supply of 4 (four) sets of tyres (excluding the set of tyres fitted to the Vehicle as at the Actual Delivery Date) for that FML Vehicle.
38.2 The costs of all punctures and tyre damage (including side wall cuts, run flats and penetration) resulting in the replacement of tyres in excess of the four (4) sets referred to in clause 38.1 with regard to FML Vehicles and all tyre costs (including repairs and replacements) with regard to the Owned Fleet shall be borne by Transnet.
38.3 The tyres referred to in clause 38.1 shall be in accordance with the specifications and/or recommendations of the OEM of the Vehicle.
38.4 During Scheduled Maintenance, the Vehicle’s tyres shall be checked and rotated if necessary and any problems detected will be rectified or tyres replaced at the same time. For the avoidance of doubt, the checking, rotating and replacement of tyres shall include the costs of all services ancillary to such checking, rotating and replacement of tyres.
38.5 Should a problem arise with tyres during intervals between Scheduled Maintenance, the driver of the Vehicle or the relevant Fleet Manager will contact the Service Provider who will direct that driver or Fleet Manager, as the case may be, to the Service Provider’s closest tyre supplier where the tyres will be examined. The tyre supplier who will make a recommendation, if required.
38.6 Should the Service Provider’s tyre supplier recommend replacement of one or more of the Vehicle’s tyres, those tyres may only be replaced by the tyre supplier on official authorisation from the Service Provider.
38.7 The day-to-day management of the tyres is the Transnet driver’s responsibility. If the Transnet driver is not satisfied with the status of the tyres, he shall alert the Fleet Manager who shall notify the Service Provider by logging a call with the Call Centre.
38.8 When a tyre reaches the minimum legal limit for wear and tear, it is to be replaced by the Service Provider. It shall be the responsibility of the Fleet Manager to notify the Service Provider of tyre wear and tear as soon as is reasonably practicable in the circumstances.
Tyres. Xxxx 4x4 Rentals provides an updated certificate of roadworthiness on the vehicle before each departure. This includes roadworthy tyres in terms of the National Road Traffic Legislation.

The Hirer shall pay the Owner, within 30 days of receipt of such notice, the cost specified within the notice for the cost of tyre usage so as to compensate the Owner for tyre wear during the Hire Period
