UNION AND POLITICAL PROGRAMS. A. The Employer agrees to deduct from the net pay (after taxes) of each employee performing work covered by the terms of this Agreement a sum as set forth in Appendix 1, Schedule “A” for each compensable hour worked and remit same to the IUOE Local 302 & 612 Union Programs Fund. Contributions will be made on the same form as the Health and Security payments. The union program contribution shall be remitted to the Local that retains the jurisdiction for the project as specified in Article 3, Territory of Agreement.

UNION AND POLITICAL PROGRAMS. The Employer agrees to deduct from the net pay (after taxes) of each employee performing work covered by the terms of this Agreement a sum as set forth in Appendix 1, Schedule “A” for each compensable hour worked and remit same to the IUOE Locals 302 & 612 Union Programs Fund. Contributions will be made on the same form as the Health and Security payments. The union program contribution shall be remitted to the Local that retains the jurisdiction for the project as specified in Article 3, Territory of Agreement. The employer will deduct five ($0.05) for each hour that the employee receives wages under the terms of the Agreement, on the basis of individually signed, voluntary authorized deduction forms. It is agreed that these authorized deductions for the IUOE Local 612 Political Programs Fund are not conditions of membership in the International Union of Operating Engineers or of employment with the Employer and that the IUOE Local 612 Political Programs Fund will use such monies in making political contributions in connection with Federal, State, and local elections. Contributions will be made on the same remittance form as the benefits and dues payments. The cost of administering this payroll deduction for IUOE Local 612 Political Programs Fund are incorporated into the economic package provided under the terms of this Agreement so that the IUOE Local 612 has, through its negotiation and its executions of this Agreement, reimbursed the employer for the costs of such administration.

  • Political Activities Grant funds cannot be used for the following activities:

  • Political Action No Employee shall be disciplined for participation in any political action(s) called for by the Canadian Labour Congress, its affiliates, or subordinate bodies.

  • Learning and Development (i) Managers and supervisors are responsible for promoting and supporting learning activities for employees in their area of responsibility.

  • Iran, Sudan and Foreign Terrorist Organizations The Developer represents that neither it nor any of its parent company, wholly- or majority-owned subsidiaries, and other affiliates is a company identified on a list prepared and maintained by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts under Section 2252.153 or Section 2270.0201, Texas Government Code, and posted on any of the following pages of such officer's internet website: xxxxx://xxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.xxx/purchasing/docs/sudan-list.pdf, xxxxx://xxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.xxx/purcasing/docs/iran-list.pdf, or xxxxx://xxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.xxx/purchasing/docs/flo-list.pdf. The foregoing representation is made solely to comply with Section 2252.152, Texas Government Code, and to the extent such Section does not contravene applicable Federal law and excludes the Developer and each of its parent company wholly- or majority- owned subsidiaries, and other affiliates, if any, that the United States government has affirmatively declared to be excluded from its federal sanctions regime relating to Sudan or Iran or any federal sanctions regime relating to a foreign terrorist organization. The Developer understands "affiliate" to mean any entity than controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Developer and exists to make a profit.

  • Training and Development 3.1 Authorities will develop local 'Workforce Development Plans (see Part 4.8),' closely linked to their service delivery plans, which will provide the focus for the establishment of training and development priorities. Training and development should be designed to meet the corporate and service needs of authorities both current and in the future, taking into account the individual needs of employees. Local schemes on training and development should enable authorities to attain their strategic objectives through development of their employees. Training and development provisions should be shaped to local requirements and take account of the full range of learning methods. Such an approach should enable access to learning for all employees. The needs of part time employees and shift workers need particular consideration.

  • Political Activity An employee shall not use his or her official authority for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the nomination or election of any candidate for public office. An employee shall not command or solicit in a coercive fashion from any other employee direct or indirect participation in any political activity or enforce or solicit in a coercive fashion contribution for any political party, organization, or candidate. An employee shall retain his or her right to vote and freely express opinions on all political subjects. An employee shall not be prohibited from participation in local community activities or from holding public office in the community in which the employee resides, provided that such activity does not conflict with Section 3.01 of the Rules and Regulations for Personnel Administration (and the Federal Hatch Act to the extent that employees of agencies receiving federal funds are subject thereto).

  • Foreign Terrorist Organizations Contractor represents and warrants that it is not engaged in business with Iran, Sudan, or a foreign terrorist organization, as prohibited by Section 2252.152 of the Texas Government Code.
