6.02 The Employer agrees that to pay for time spent during regular working hours for the extent that it applies to its operations, it will abide by the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1978.
6.03 The Union will supply the Employer with the names of their representatives and any changes thereto, and the Employer shall not be required to recognize such representatives until notified, in writing, by the Union of their appointment.
6.04 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union attending at such meetings.
10.02 The Union will provide the Employer in writing within to appoint or to otherwise select not more than two (2) weeks after electionrepresentatives to assist with respect to the investigating or processing of grievances, and renegotiation of this Agreement. The Union acknowledges that union representatives, members of the Grievance Committee, and members of the Negotiating Committee, have regular duties to perform on behalf of the Employer and that such persons will not leave their regular duties without obtaining the permission of their immediate supervisor, which permission shall not be unreasonably withheld and, when resuming their regular duties, will report to their immediate supervisor so that the length of time they are absent from their regular duties will be under reasonable control. 10.03 The Employer shall pay officers, representatives and committee members their respective salaries for all regularly scheduled time spent investigating and for processing grievances, negotiating renewal of this Agreement up to and not including conciliation, and while attending meetings with mediation provided the Employeremployees are scheduled to work.
10.04 6.05 The Employer agrees Association Committees shall have the right to give have the assistance of representatives of or consultants from the Ontario Nurses' Association or consultants Association.
6.06 A union representative will be given the opportunity of interviewing a new employee once during the first three (3) weeks of employment for a period of not more than fifteen (15) minutes. The new employee shall be obligated to attend such meeting. The Employer shall advise the Union reasonable access monthly as to the premises names of the persons to be interviewed and shall designate the time and place of each such interview.
6.07 All references to representatives and Committee members in this Agreement shall be deemed to mean representatives and Committee members of the duly chartered local.
6.08 All joint Employer for Association meetings shall be scheduled where practical during the purpose of investigating grievances, attending meetings, or otherwise assisting in the administration of this Agreementnurse’s regular working hours. 10.02 8.06 Acknowledging that mutual benefits are derived from joint consultation, a Union/Management Committee is established to enter into discussions concerning matters related to workload, scheduling, job content, and any other matters of concern not covered by this Collective Agreement. In accord with these principles the parties agree as follows:
(a) Meetings between the Union and the University may be held as required at times as mutually agreed, but no more than once monthly. The Union will provide party requesting the Employer meeting shall make the request in writing advising the other party of the matter(s) it wishes to discuss; and
(b) Upon notification, a meeting shall be convened within ten (10) days or at a later date if mutually agreed to and chaired by the party making the request; and

(e) An Occupational Health and Safety Committee which shall be comprised of at least one (1) member of the Bargaining Unit.
(f) The Joint Health and Safety Committee will discuss and may recommend appropriate measures to promote health and safety in workplaces, including, but not limited to: Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Needle Stick Injury Prevention Personal Protective Equipment Training designed to ensure competency under the Act for those persons with supervisory responsibilities.
6.02 The Union will supply the Employer with the names of its representatives and changes thereto.
(a) If a representative must leave her/his regular duties for a short period of time in order to attend to Union business in the Home, she/he will first obtain the permission of her/his supervisor. Such permission will not be unreasonably withheld. Upon completion of her/his business, the representative will report to her/his supervisor and then return to her/his regular duties.
(b) Representatives of the Union shall be paid at their regular rate of pay for all time used during their regularly scheduled hours of work in attending meetings or fulfilling other duties related to their responsibilities under the Collective Agreement.
(c) The Employer agrees to pay members of the Negotiating Committee for time spent during regular working hours in negotiations up to but not including Arbitration.
(d) Nurses on the Negotiating Committee shall have the option of receiving paid time off for the evening or night shift of the preceding day, or the evening or night shift of the actual negotiating day, if scheduled to work these shifts.

(e) An Occupational Health and Safety Committee which shall be comprised of at least one (1) member of the Bargaining Unit.
(f) The Joint Health and Safety Committee will discuss and may recommend appropriate measures to promote health and safety in workplaces, including, but not limited to: • Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention • Needle Stick Injury Prevention • Personal Protective Equipment • Training designed to ensure competency under the Act for those persons with supervisory responsibilities.
6.02 The Union will supply the Employer with the names of its representatives and changes thereto.
(a) If a representative must leave her/his regular duties for a short period of time in order to attend to Union business in the Home, she/he will first obtain the permission of her/his supervisor. Such permission will not be unreasonably withheld. Upon completion of her/his business, the representative will report to her/his supervisor and then return to her/his regular duties.
(b) Representatives of the Union shall be paid at their regular rate of pay for all time used during their regularly scheduled hours of work in attending meetings or fulfilling other duties related to their responsibilities under the Collective Agreement.
(c) The Employer agrees to pay members of the Negotiating Committee for time spent during regular working hours in negotiations up to but not including Arbitration.
(d) Nurses on the Negotiating Committee shall have the option of receiving paid time off for the evening or night shift of the preceding day, or the evening or night shift of the actual negotiating day, if scheduled to work these shifts.
6.04 The Union Committees shall have the right to have the assistance of representatives or consultants from or acting on behalf of the Ontario Nurses' Association.
(b) a Grievance Committee of not more than two (2) nurses. It is agreed that Union representatives and members of the Grievance Committee have their regular duties and responsibilities to perform for the Employer and shall not leave their regular duties without first obtaining permission from their immediate supervisor. Employees on the evening and night shift shall receive paid time off for the actual day of the negotiating meeting. 6.08 The parties agree that if incidents involving aggressive client action occur such action will be recorded and reviewed at the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
