Common use of Union Orientation for New Employees Clause in Contracts

Union Orientation for New Employees. The Company and the Union agree that the Union will have the opportunity to meet with newly hired employees as part of the overall orientation process for the purpose of furnishing them with information about the Union. The Union's segment of this process will be limited to a maximum of sixty (60) minutes. Time spent during the basic scheduled work period for each employee will be paid as time worked. In addition, the Company also agrees to introduce employees transferring into a different work group to the local Union representative assigned to that area.
