The effective date of appointment shall be included in such notification.
20.06 Where a grievance must be serviced or where meetings between Union and University officials take place during an employee’s scheduled working hours, the employee shall be paid their basic hourly rate as though working. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Agreement, the University shall be obligated to pay only the basic hourly rate to an employee replacing one (1) so acting for elected by the Union. Employees on the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of pay while required to be in attendance at negotiating sessions.
20.07 Local Union officers or officials shall, at all times, be entitled to the presence and assistance of a representative of the Canadian Union of Public Employees in meeting with University officials.

3.04 On commencing employment, the General Manager or designate shall introduce the new employee to the Director of Staff Relations annually, on or around December 1st Union Xxxxxxx and the names, positions, and immediate supervisors, of its Local Executive, Stewards and Committee members, and any revisions as and when required. The effective date of appointment Xxxxxxx shall be included in such notification.
20.06 Where allowed fifteen (15) minutes paid to provide the new employee with a grievance must be serviced or where meetings between Union and University officials take place during an employee’s scheduled working hours, the employee shall be paid their basic hourly rate as though working. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Agreement, the University shall be obligated to pay only the basic hourly rate to an employee replacing one (1) so acting for the Union.

20.06 Where given the opportunity to meet with new non-probationary employees for a grievance must be serviced or where meetings between Union maximum of fifteen (15) minutes during regular working hours at a time and University officials take place during an employee’s scheduled working hours, arranged by the employee shall be paid their basic hourly rate as though working. 7.03 In the event either party wishes to call a meeting of the Stewards, the meeting shall be held at a time and place fixed by mutual agreement. Stewards may also perform the function of health and safety representatives.
20.02 A 7.04 The Union Grievance Committee may be set up on an ad hoc basis for each grievance where such a committee is required. (b) 7.06 Only employees who have completed the probationary period will be eligible to be stewards, or members of the negotiating committee.
7.07 Labour Management Committee – A Labour Management Committee shall be formed consisting of equal representation of management staff and Union Stewards. The Union Representative may attend meetings. Requests for a meeting will make every reasonable effort to ensure that union or committee activities are distributed amongst xxxxxxx and/or committee persons be made in a manner as to minimize the strain on any writing at least one (1) operational unit.
20.05 The Union will submit in writing week prior to the Director of Staff Relations annually, on proposed date and accompanied by a proposed agenda. Issues that may be grieved or around December 1st negotiated shall not be discussed at the names, positions, and immediate supervisors, of its Local Executive, Stewards and Committee members, and any revisions as and when requiredmeeting unless otherwise agreed. The effective date of appointment shall be included in such notificationEmployer or Union may invite staff or corporate representatives.

UNION STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. 20.01 The University 7.01 For the purpose of amending or renewing the Collective Agreement the Employer agrees to recognize not more than twenty-five (25) a Union Stewards selected by the Union from among employees who have completed their probationary period, three (3) Negotiating Committee consisting of whom may be the Chief Xxxxxxx, Deputy Chief Xxxxxxx Days and Deputy Chief Xxxxxxx Nights. The number of Stewards may be increased by mutual agreement. Stewards may also perform the function of health and safety representatives.
20.02 A Union Grievance Committee may be set up on an ad hoc basis for each grievance where such a committee is required. Unless otherwise agreed, it shall be made up of not more than three (3) employees selected by in the Bargaining Unit and a Local Union representative. This Committee will have one representative from each area office whenever possible.
7.02 For the purpose of processing employee grievances, the Employer agrees to recognize one
(1) employee at each geographic location (Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph) as Union Stewards, who along with the griever would form a Grievance Committee at that location. If a Xxxxxxx is absent from a geographical location, a staff member shall have the right to call in another Xxxxxxx or Union Representative.
7.03 The Union shall advise the Employer, in writing, of the names of the Stewards and employee members of the bargaining unitNegotiating Committee. The Employer shall advise the Union, provided such members have completed their probationary period. It is further understood for the purposes of this clause that neither the grievor nor the Xxxxxxx are deemed to be members in writing, of the Committeenames of supervisory staff.
20.03 7.04 The Union may appoint a privilege of committee of not more than seven (7) of its Local members who have completed their probationary period to deal with the University on matters concerning the renewal or renegotiation of this Collective Agreement. Every effort will be made to ensure that the seven (7) members represent a cross-section of the different areas within the bargaining unit.
(a) It is understood that a Xxxxxxx or Committee person has regular work to perform and that if it is necessary to service a grievance during working hours, they will not leave their work without first obtaining loss of pay or benefits to attend to Union business during working hours is granted on the following conditions:
a) such business must be between the Union and the Employer;
b) the time shall be devoted to the prompt handling of necessary union business;
c) the committee members concerned shall obtain the prior permission of the immediate supervisor which Program Manager concerned before leaving their work. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld.
7.05 Employees serving on the Union’s Negotiating Committee shall be paid for lost time at normal straight time rate of pay for scheduled Negotiating meetings with the Employer up to but not including conciliation. They Employees serving on the Union’s Grievance Committee shall state be paid for lost time at normal straight time rate of pay for scheduled Grievance meetings with the destination Employer up to but not including arbitration.
7.06 It is understood and agreed that either party may be represented or assisted by an outside representative at meetings of the immediate supervisor Negotiating and shall report again Grievance Committees.
7.07 The Employer reserves the right to discipline employees for just cause, however, no employee will be subjected to discipline which results in a formal entry of same in their personnel file without being given the supervisor option of having a Union Xxxxxxx present at the time of their return to workdisciplinary meeting.
(b) The Union will make every reasonable effort to ensure that union or committee activities are distributed amongst xxxxxxx and/or committee persons in 7.08 Where an employee receives a manner as to minimize the strain on any written disciplinary warning and receives no further written discipline for a period of one (1) operational unityear from the date of the warning, or the warning is withdrawn by grievance or arbitration procedure, such warning shall be removed from the Employee’s record and shall not be used in any subsequent disciplinary action or arbitration proceedings.
20.05 7.09 The Bargaining Unit shall have the right to have the assistance of representatives of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union will submit in writing Local 1977 when dealing or negotiating with the Employer. Such representatives may have access to the Director Employer’s premises in order to investigate and assist in the settlement of Staff Relations annually, on or around December 1st the names, positionsa grievance, and immediate supervisors, of its Local Executive, Stewards and Committee members, and any revisions as and when requiredto regularly visit the Employer’s premises to service the member’s needs. The effective date of appointment Such rights shall not be included in such notificationunreasonably withheld.
20.06 Where a grievance must be serviced or where meetings between Union and University officials take place during an employee’s scheduled working hours, the employee shall be paid their basic hourly rate as though working. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Agreement, the University shall be obligated to pay only the basic hourly rate to an employee replacing one (1) so acting for the Union.

UNION STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. 20.01 3.01 No individual employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without proper authorization of the Union. In order that this may be carried out, the Union will supply the Employer with the names of its Representatives. Similarly, the Employer will supply the Union with a list of its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union may be required to transact business.
3.02 The University bargaining unit employees have the right, at any time, to have the assistance of a Representative of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union or its international affiliates when dealing with the Employer. Such Representatives shall have access to the Employer’s premises with the consent of the Employer, which consent shall not be unreasonably refused. The Union Representative and the Employer will work together in good faith to schedule time for such access so as to avoid service disruption, and will have regard to the urgency of the matter in doing so.
3.03 Any employee who so desires, shall have the right to review his personnel record in the presence of the Union Xxxxxxx and a member of Management, upon making a request for same in advance. Such review is to take place at such time and place within the unit as may be designated by Management. If the employee finds something objectionable in his personal record, he has the right to discuss the findings with his supervisor in the presence of the Union Xxxxxxx. If there is no resolution, the objection may become the subject of a grievance and processed in accordance with Articles 7 and 8 of this Agreement. The Employer agrees that no memos and/or notations regarding discipline shall be placed in an employee's file without first bringing it to recognize not more than twenty-five the attention of the employee and the Union.

3.05 The Employer agrees to provide the Union Xxxxxxx with an opportunity to meet with new employees for a period of up to thirty (30) minutes with pay within regular working hours. The purpose of this meeting is to acquaint such employees with the role of the Union and the terms of the Collective Agreement. Such meeting shall be included in such notificationheld at a time and location mutually agreed upon between the Xxxxxxx and the employee's supervisor.

4.04 The Employer will, after a discussion with the Union, set a time for grievance meetings between the Employer and the Union with the operational needs of the plant being the major factor in selection of meeting times. It may be necessary to schedule such meetings outside of the Xxxxxxx’x regular working hours.
4.05 The Employer agrees to pay the designated bargaining unit employees on the negotiating committee at their regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all regular scheduled hours of work without first obtaining missed by the employee while attending Collective Bargaining negotiations for the renewal of the Collective Agreement to a maximum of 8 hours per day of negotiations, and a maximum of eight meetings between the Employer and the negotiating committee.
4.06 The Employer will advise the Union of the names of the incumbent Human Resources Manager or his designee for purposes of Steps 2 and 3 of the Grievance Procedure.
4.07 The Union Representative may visit the workplace provided he requests permission of the immediate supervisor which shall such visit in advance. Such permission will not be unreasonably withheld. They A representative of the Union having been given permission to visit the Company premises shall state the destination restrict his activities to the immediate supervisor and shall report again purpose for which such permission was granted. The representative’s visitation to the supervisor workplace, as referenced above, shall include visiting during the employees’ meal period and signing in prior thereto at the time of their return main desk, provided said meal period visit is communicated to workthe Employer wherever possible in advance and is not inconvenient to the Employer, acting reasonably.
4.08 The Employer and the Union may agree to schedule Joint Labour Management Meetings (bJLM) every two (2) months or more often as necessary to discuss work place issues with a view to resolving them before they become grievances. Such meetings shall take place during working hours and time spent at such meetings shall be considered as time worked. The Union will make every reasonable effort to ensure that union or committee activities are distributed amongst xxxxxxx and/or committee persons in a manner as to minimize the strain on any respective parties shall provide each other with an agenda at least one (1) operational unitweek in advance of the meeting. Topics of discussion shall not include issues that are properly the subject of a grievance or negotiations.

3.03 In circumstances where remedial or disciplinary action is being taken with an employee, copies of previous written warnings currently on file and upon which the Company intends to pay only rely will be provided to the basic hourly rate to an employee replacing one (1) so acting for and the Union.

20.05 The Union will submit in writing to the Director Negotiation Committee for the renewal of Staff Relations annuallythis Collective Agreement, on or around December 1st the nameswho are required to be in attendance at negotiating sessions during regularly scheduled shifts, positions, and immediate supervisors, of its Local Executive, Stewards and Committee members, and any revisions as and when required. 20.06 Where a grievance must be serviced or where meetings between Union and University officials take place during an employee’s scheduled working hours, the employee shall be paid their basic hourly rate as though working. 20.07 Local 6.07 The Stewards so selected shall constitute the Grievance Committee so long as they remain employees or until their successors are chosen.
6.08 The Union officers or officials shall, at all times, be entitled to shall not engage in Union activity on the presence and assistance of a representative premises of the Canadian Home without the prior permission of the administration.
6.09 A Labour Management committee shall be established. Bargaining unit representation on the committee shall be comprised of two (2) union appointed representatives. The full-time Union of Public Employees in meeting with University officialsRepresentative may also attend. The committee shall meet three (3) times per year.

21.08 The President or Chief Xxxxxxx who is not already exercising the provisions of Clause 14.16, and whose current hours of work are other than Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., may request a transfer to a regular day shift for the duration of their term, to enable them to perform their Union functions more efficiently. In order to accommodate such request, the University will back-fill their vacancy at its discretion, including the transfer of any other employee.

UNION STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. 20.01 5.01 No individual employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Company without proper authorization of the Union. The University agrees to recognize Union will provide an up-to-date list of its representatives so appointed at all times during the term of the Collective Agreement.
5.02 A Bargaining Committee of not more than twenty-five four (254) Union Stewards people shall be selected by the Union from among to represent the Union at bargaining sessions. Note: The above will not include a representative of the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union. In the event that the bargaining unit increases to 225 bargaining unit employees, the bargaining unit negotiating committee shall increase by one (1) committee member.
5.03 The employees who shall have completed the right to ask for and be granted the assistance of a representative of the United Food & Commercial Workers, Local 175, when in negotiations or any other matter in dealing with the Company. Such representative shall have access to the Company's premises, to tour the Plant and observe the employees performing their probationary periodassigned work. Such visits must have the proper approval of Management. Management's approval will not be unreasonably denied.
5.04 In the event either party wishes to call a meeting of the Stewards Committee, three (3) of whom may the meeting shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx, Deputy Chief Xxxxxxx Days held at a time and Deputy Chief Xxxxxxx Nights. UNION STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. 20.01 The University agrees
3.01 No individual bargaining unit member or group of bargaining unit members shall undertake to recognize not more than twenty-five (25) represent the Union Stewards selected at meetings with the Employer without proper authorization of the Union. No individual supervisor, manager, Director, or person employed by the Employer, or group thereof, shall undertake to represent the Employer at meetings with the Union without proper authorization of the Employer. In order that this may be carried out, the Union shall supply the Employer with the names of its Business Representatives. Similarly, the Employer shall supply the Union with a list of its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union shall transact business.
3.02 Any employee who so desires shall have the right to review their personnel record for a reasonable period of time in the presence of the Union Xxxxxxx, or the Alternate Xxxxxxx, and a member of Management, upon making a request for same reasonably in advance. Such review shall take place at such time and place as may be designated by Management in its discretion. The Employer agrees that no disciplinary memos or notation shall be placed in an employee's file without first bringing it to the attention of the employee and the Union.
(a) The Union shall appoint from among the employees who have completed their probationary periodperiod two (2) Stewards, three and one (31) Alternate Xxxxxxx who will function in the Xxxxxxx'x place when a Xxxxxxx is not immediately present.
(b) The Union shall notify the Employer in writing of whom the name of the Stewards and the Alternate Xxxxxxx and, where applicable, each Committee member, before Management shall be required to recognize any employee or (with respect to the Committees) other bargaining unit member so selected. The Union shall immediately inform in writing the Employer of any change of Stewards, the Alternate Xxxxxxx, or a Committee Member.
(c) The Union acknowledges that the Stewards have regular duties to perform on behalf of the Employer. The Xxxxxxx shall with the consent of his supervisor be permitted to leave his regular duties to a maximum of one (1) hour total per week (unless additional time is requested by the Employer), without loss of pay, to function as a Xxxxxxx as provided in this Collective Agreement for the prompt handling of necessary Union business with management. Such consent from the supervisor shall not be unreasonably withheld. When returning to regular duties the Xxxxxxx will first report back to their supervisor.
(a) The Employer agrees that whenever an employee is subject to disciplinary action that is intended to become part of an employee’s record regarding their work or conduct, a Xxxxxxx or Union Representative will be present as a witness. The employee may request that the Xxxxxxx or Union Representative leave the meeting.
(b) In the event a Xxxxxxx or Union Representative is not available, this condition will be brought to the attention of the employee. The action that becomes part of the employee’s record will then be postponed until a Xxxxxxx or Union Representative is available. The Union will make every effort to ensure a Xxxxxxx or Union Representative will be available to attend such a meeting without undue delay in order to limit any liability that may occur. The employee may be placed on paid or unpaid leave at this time subject to the Chief Xxxxxxxdiscretion of Management and subject to the right to grieve any such action taken.
(c) If any action is taken without the Xxxxxxx or Union Representative, Deputy Chief any conclusions, verbal or written, will be null and void except in the cases where the employee requests the Xxxxxxx Days and Deputy Chief Xxxxxxx Nightsor Union Representative to leave.
3.05 The Union shall appoint a Union Negotiating Committee for the purpose of negotiating with the Employer amendments to the Agreement. The number Union Negotiating Committee shall consist of Stewards may be increased by mutual agreement. Stewards may also perform a Business Representative of the function of health Union and safety representatives.

20.07 Local Union officers or officials shall3.06 The bargaining unit employees have the right, at all timesany time, be entitled to have the presence and assistance of a representative Union Representative of the Canadian United Food and Commercial Workers Union Canada when dealing with the Employer. Such Union representative shall be permitted, upon reporting to the Executive Director or their designee, to enter the Employers facilities where the bargaining unit employees are working at reasonable times to interview employees or to inspect working conditions or to generally service membership. The Union Representative shall make every effort to cause a minimal disturbance with the Employers operations and agrees to respect the privacy or care of Public Employees its clients during any such visit.
3.07 The Union Representative will be given time prior to all “full” staff meetings (generally held on the fourth (4th) Wednesday every other month starting at 1:30p.m. or at a date and time prescribed by the Employer) during the lunch periods to meet with the Bargaining Unit members to discuss issues, answer questions or generally service the membership as necessary. The Union Representative will give the Employer as much notice of their attendance in advance of such scheduled staff meetings but will not give less than four (4) weeks advance notice. The Employer will provide an appropriate meeting with University officialsroom at the location of the staff meeting which would accommodate the staff.

UNION STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. 20.01 The University agrees 3.01 No individual employee or group of employees shall undertake to recognize not more than twenty-five (25) Union Stewards selected by represent the Union from among employees who have completed their probationary period, three (3) at meetings with the Employer without proper authorization of whom the Union. In order that this may be carried out, the Chief XxxxxxxUnion will supply the Employer with the names of its Representatives. Similarly, Deputy Chief Xxxxxxx Days and Deputy Chief Xxxxxxx Nights. The number the Employer will supply the Union with a list of Stewards its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union may be increased by mutual agreement. Stewards may also perform the function of health and safety representativesrequired to transact business.
20.02 A 3.02 The bargaining unit employees have the right, at any time, to have the assistance of a Representative of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Grievance Committee or its International affiliates when dealing with the Employer. Such Representatives shall have access to the Employer’s premises.
3.03 Any employee who so desires it, shall have the right to review their personnel record in the presence of the Union Xxxxxxx and a member of Management, upon making a request for same in advance. Such review is to take place at such time and place within the unit as may be set up on an ad hoc basis for each grievance where designated by Management. If any employee so affected objects to the material contained in such a committee is required. Unless otherwise agreed, it shall record such objection may be made up the subject matter of not more than three (3) employees selected by the Union from the members of the bargaining unit, provided such members have completed their probationary period. 20.05 (c) The Union will submit acknowledges that the Stewards have regular duties to perform on behalf of the Employer and may not leave their regular duties without notifying their immediate supervisor. Each xxxxxxx shall, with the consent of their supervisor, be permitted to leave their regular duties for a reasonable length of time without loss of pay, to function as a xxxxxxx as provided in writing this Collective Agreement. Such consent from the supervisor shall not be unreasonably withheld.
3.05 Within thirty (30) days of commencing employment, the employee’s immediate supervisor or designate shall introduce the new employee to the Director Union xxxxxxx who will provide the new employee with a copy of Staff Relations annually, on or around December 1st the names, positions, and immediate supervisors, of its Local Executive, Stewards and Committee members, and any revisions as and when requiredCollective Agreement. The effective date of appointment Xxxxxxx shall be included in such notification.
20.06 Where a grievance must be serviced or where meetings between Union allowed up to fifteen (15) minutes (thirty (30) minutes for group orientation) to explain to the new employee their rights and University officials take place during an employee’s scheduled working hours, the employee shall be paid their basic hourly rate as though working. Notwithstanding any other provisions of privileges under this Agreement, the University shall be obligated to pay only the basic hourly rate to an employee replacing one (1) so acting for the Union.
20.07 Local Union officers or officials shall, at all times, be entitled to the presence and assistance of a representative of the Canadian Union of Public Employees in meeting with University officials.

7.03 The Union shall advise the Employer, in writing, of the names of the Stewards and employee members of the bargaining unitNegotiating Committee. It is further understood for the purposes of this clause that neither the grievor nor the Xxxxxxx are deemed to be members in writing, of the Committeenames of supervisory staff.
20.03 7.04 The privilege of committee members to leave their work without loss of pay or benefits to attend to Union may appoint a committee of not more than seven (7) of its Local members who have completed their probationary period to deal with business during working hours is granted on the University on matters concerning the renewal or renegotiation of this Collective Agreement. Every effort will be made to ensure that the seven (7) members represent a cross-section of the different areas within the bargaining unit.following conditions:
(a) It is understood that a Xxxxxxx or Committee person has regular work such business must be between the Union and the Employer;
(b) the time shall be devoted to perform and that if it is the prompt handling of necessary to service a grievance during working hours, they will not leave their work without first obtaining union business;
(c) the committee members concerned shall obtain the prior permission of the immediate supervisor which Program Manager concerned before leaving their work. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld.
7.05 Employees serving on the Union’s Negotiating Committee shall be paid for lost time at normal straight time rate of pay for scheduled Negotiating meetings with the Employer up to but not including conciliation. They Employees serving on the Union’s Grievance Committee shall state be paid for lost time at normal straight time rate of pay for scheduled Grievance meetings with the destination Employer up to but not including arbitration.
7.06 It is understood and agreed that either party may be represented or assisted by an outside representative at meetings of the immediate supervisor Negotiating and shall report again Grievance Committees.
7.07 The Employer reserves the right to discipline employees for just cause, however, no employee will be subjected to discipline which results in a formal entry of same in their personnel file without being given the supervisor option of having a Union Xxxxxxx present at the time of their return to workdisciplinary meeting.
(b) The Union will make every reasonable effort to ensure that union or committee activities are distributed amongst xxxxxxx and/or committee persons in 7.08 Where an employee receives a manner as to minimize the strain on any written disciplinary warning and receives no further written discipline for a period of one (1) operational unityear from the date of the warning, or the warning is withdrawn by grievance or arbitration procedure, such warning shall be removed from the employee’s record and shall not be used in any subsequent disciplinary action or arbitration proceedings.
20.05 7.09 The Bargaining Unit shall have the right to have the assistance of representatives of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union will submit in writing Local 175 when dealing or negotiating with the Employer. Such representatives may have access to the Director Employer’s premises in order to investigate and assist in the settlement of Staff Relations annually, on or around December 1st the names, positionsa grievance, and immediate supervisors, of its Local Executive, Stewards and Committee members, and any revisions as and when requiredto regularly visit the Employer’s premises to service the member’s needs. 20.05 The Union will submit in writing to the Director Negotiation Committee for the renewal of Staff Relations annuallythis Collective Agreement, on or around December 1st the nameswho are required to be in attendance at negotiating sessions during regularly scheduled shifts, positions, and immediate supervisors, of its Local Executive, Stewards and Committee members, and any revisions as and when required. 20.06 Where a grievance must be serviced or where meetings between Union and University officials take place during an employee’s scheduled working hours, the employee shall be paid their basic hourly rate as though working. 6.09 A Labour Management committee shall be established. Bargaining unit representation on the committee shall be comprised of two (2) union appointed representatives. 11.02 The Company will recognize six (6) Stewards and one (1) operational unitChief Shop Xxxxxxx. To provide a minimum of interference to production the Parties agree to the following rules of conduct for duly elected stewards:
(a) Stewards will be allowed a reasonable time during working hours for the investigation of a grievance and a dispute.
20.05 (b) If Stewards wish to be released to investigate a grievance, they will inform their Supervisors of the nature and the place of the grievance.
(c) Stewards who are investigating a grievance will note this fact on their daily time card. Upon returning to their own department, they will notify their xxxxxxx who will verify the daily time card and authorize payment to ensure no loss of pay for regular scheduled hours.
(d) Upon entering a department other than their own, Stewards will inform the Supervisor of that department of the nature of the grievance they are investigating.
(e) It is mutually agreed there will be no abuse or excessive use of time spent investigating grievances.
(f) When members of the Bargaining Committee or Stewards who are off duty are required to attend to Union business within the Plant, they shall obtain approval of the Plant Manager, or the Plant Manager's designee, before entering the Plant to attend to such business.
11.03 The Union will submit designate a committee of two (2) members who with the Bargaining Unit Chairperson or designee, will represent the Union for the purpose of monthly meetings with the Company, for discussions on matters of mutual interest.
11.04 As far as practicable, all meetings between the Company and Union Representatives will be held during working hours. No employee shall suffer loss of pay for regular scheduled hours by reason of attending such meetings.
11.05 In the event of a meeting between a Supervisor and an employee to discuss a matter which may result in writing to disciplinary action, the Director Supervisor will inform the employee of Staff Relations annually, on or around December 1st the names, positionspossibility that the meeting may result in disciplinary action being taken, and immediate supervisors, Xxxxxxx representation will be considered a right of its Local Executive, Stewards and Committee members, and any revisions as and when required. The effective date of appointment shall be included in such notification.

The Xxxxxxx must advise their supervisor as to minimize what the strain on any general nature of the business is and how much time they require not to exceed 30 mins. The Union agrees that there will not normally be duplications of duties or responsibilities of its Stewards, however, it is recognized that there may be times when, because of circumstances, the Union or the Company may deem it necessary to have more than one representative attend to the matter. The Xxxxxxx must inform the appropriate Supervisor of the Department into which he is entering.
3.04 On commencing employment, the employee's immediate supervisor shall introduce the new employee to the Union xxxxxxx who will provide the new employee with a copy of the Collective Agreement. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Agreement, have up to one-half (1/2) hour with pay for union orientation with the University shall be obligated to pay only the basic hourly rate to an employee replacing one (1) so acting for the Unionemployees.
20.07 Local Union officers or officials shall, at all times, be entitled to the presence and assistance of a representative of the Canadian Union of Public Employees in meeting with University officials.
