United States Bureau of Land Management. BLM is an agency of the United States Department of the Interior authorized by Congress to manage and regulate multiple-use activities on federal public lands located within the Planning Area under the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976. In addition to land use planning authorities, the BLM regulates public land use and occupancy through promulgated rules and regulations. BLM has exclusive authority to permit the use of federal public land through its FLPMA authorities. Approximately 34 percent of lands within the Planning Area are in public ownership, of which 94 percent are BLM lands. The Town intends to work with BLM to ensure that activities proposed by the Town in the MSHCP/NCCP are consistent with BLM’s California Desert Conservation Plan, as amended. During the planning process, the BLM, the Town, and Wildlife Agencies will work together to identify common and mutual objectives for achieving long-term conservation throughout the Plan Area.

  • Project Manager, County The County shall appoint a Project Manager to act as liaison between the County and the Subrecipient during the term of this Contract.
