Universidad de Murcia Description of the Organisation. The University of Murcia is the most important research organization in the Murcia Region. Funded in the 13th century under the reign of Xxxx Xxxxxxx X the Xxxx, this university has wrought to blend the traditional with the modern, the historical with the contemporary, and the past with the present. Nowadays, the University of Murcia is an institution devoted to providing higher education to the public. Among its main objectives are the creation, development and research into science, technology and culture through study and research and the transmission of such knowledge through education. Research is one of the pillars of the University. It is developing through 8 scientific areas: Economy, Health, Experimental, Law, Social, Technical, Humanities and Mathematics. The UMU has more than 29,000 students, with a teaching staff of 2,034 professors spread over 4 campuses. Relevant Experience There are currently 312 Research Groups and 3 University Institutes of Research are in the process of constitution. The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology A of the University of Murcia, which is involved in this project, is formed by 20 professors and participate in the education of the biochemistry in scientific degrees such as Biochemistry, Biology, Medicine, Pharmacy and Veterinary. This department is divided in six Research Groups. The University of Murcia and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology A have a high scientific infrastructure to perform scientific projects in the fields of medicine, biotechnology, proteomics, genomics, cell biology, etc Staff Involved (additional staff members will be involved in this project as well) Dr. Xxxx Neptuno Xxxxxxxxx-Xxxxx is a member of the Group of Enzymology of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology A and Project Leader in the field of Biotechnology and Design of Drugs. During his career he has published more than 120 publications in relevant scientific journals, has participated in more than 25 research projects (in 14 of them as a Project Leader) and has directed 10 PhD Thesis. Ongoing research is concentrated in production of recombinant proteins for their use in biomedicine and the industry and in the search for new inhibitors of dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) as anticancer and antimicrobial agents.   • Preparation and Organisation of Meetings The Chairperson shall convene ordinary meetings of the Project Committee at least once every 6 (six) months and shall also convene extraordinary meetings at any time upon written request of any Member.

  • Technical and Organisational Measures (1) Before the commencement of processing, the Supplier shall document the execution of the necessary Technical and Organisational Measures, set out in advance of the awarding of the Order or Contract, specifically with regard to the detailed execution of the contract, and shall present these documented measures to the Client for inspection. Upon acceptance by the Client, the documented measures become the foundation of the contract. Insofar as the inspection/audit by the Client shows the need for amendments, such amendments shall be implemented by mutual agreement.

  • Labour Management (a) No employee or group of employees will undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the University without the proper authorization of the Union.   • LABOUR MANAGEMENT RELATIONS 30.01 A Labour/Management Relations Committee shall be appointed, consisting of a maximum of two (2) Shop Stewards from the Union, and a maximum of two (2) representatives from the Co-operative. The full-time Union Representative may also attend these meetings from time to time. The Committee shall meet at the request of either party, for the purpose of discussing matters of mutual concern. Time spent by bargaining unit employees in carrying out the functions of this Committee shall be considered as time worked and shall be paid for by the Co-operative. The Committee shall not have jurisdiction to interpret and/or amend the Collective Agreement.

  • Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions 10.14.1 Contractor agrees to comply fully with and be bound by all of the provisions of Chapter 12T, “City Contractor/Subcontractor Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions,” of the San Francisco Administrative Code (“Chapter 12T”), including the remedies provided, and implementing regulations, as may be amended from time to time. The provisions of Chapter 12T are incorporated by reference and made a part of this Agreement as though fully set forth herein.
