Common use of University-Supported Efforts Clause in Contracts

University-Supported Efforts. An invention that is made by using University support, as defined in Section 22.1(h), is the property of the University. In addition, an invention made within the field or discipline in which the faculty member conducts research, teaching, and/or service activities for the University (which shall include any enhancements, adaptations, and improvements of inventions previously disclosed or that were required to be disclosed hereunder) is the property of the University. The faculty member shall share in the proceeds from any invention that is the property of the University pursuant to this Article.
