Unpaid days of holiday. A deduction shall be made from the employee’s current monthly salary at the rate of 4.6% of the monthly salary for each unpaid day of holiday taken.

Number of Holidays (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only)
List of Holidays The Employer recognizes the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Christmas Day Easter Monday Boxing Day Victoria Day Civic Holiday (deferred to Christmas Shutdown) Canada Day Plus, any other day(s) declared or proclaimed as a Statutory Holiday by the Federal or Provincial Government. The Employer shall post a list no later than December 15th of each year stating on which day the Civic Holiday and any other deferred holiday will be observed.
HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 165. 1. A holiday is calculated based on an eight hour day. The following days are designated as holidays: January 1 ( New Year's Day) the third Monday in January (Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s birthday) the third Monday in February (Presidents' Day) the last Monday in May (Memorial Day) July 4 (Independence Day) the first Monday in September (Labor Day) the second Monday in October (Columbus Day) November 11 (Veterans' Day) Thanksgiving Day the day after Thanksgiving December 25 (Christmas Day) 166. Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.
Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.
Payments Due on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays If the date of maturity of interest on or principal of the Securities of any series or the date fixed for redemption or repayment of any such Security shall not be a Business Day, then payment of interest or principal need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date of maturity or the date fixed for redemption, and no interest shall accrue for the period after such date.

Saturday Sunday and designated paid holidays shall not be counted in determining the time within which any action is to be taken or completed under the grievance procedure.
Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.
