Common use of Unpaid Leave for Child Rearing Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Leave for Child Rearing. The District shall grant to a faculty member, upon request, an unpaid leave for child-rearing purposes for a period not to exceed one (1) year following the birth or adoption of a child. A faculty member on such leave shall be able to receive health, dental, and life insurance benefits, provided that the faculty member pays the full month’s premium(s) monthly in advance.
