Peer Evaluation. In addition to the official administrative evaluation and the student evaluation, each regular and contract faculty employee shall have a peer evaluation conducted by a regular or contract faculty employee at least once every three academic years as provided below:
Peer Evaluation. The Evaluator shall complete a written evaluation which is solely based upon the classroom observation and materials contained in the Evaluation File. The student evaluation results may be used to inform the discussion between the Evaluator and the Evaluatee. The Evaluator shall complete the Faculty Evaluation Summary Form For Emeritus College Part-Time Faculty. The Evaluation File will provide a justification for the recommendation of the Evaluator.
Peer Evaluation. Section 19.5.1 During the semester for which the evaluation is scheduled, the School Xxxx or approved Administrator in consultation with the faculty member shall select one (1) faculty member to conduct a peer evaluation.
Section 19.5.2 The peer component of the program of evaluation shall consist of a Classroom/Workplace Observation (C2), and completion of the narrative report (C4). This evaluation will include pedagogy, classroom management, and subject matter.
Peer Evaluation. 9.5.1 During the semester or trimester for which the administrative evaluation is to be conducted, the Unit Member may select another Unit Member or full-time faculty member who is currently employed by the District within the Unit Member’s department of division to conduct a peer evaluation. Participation in the evaluation process by a faculty member selected as a peer evaluator shall be voluntary.
9.5.2 A faculty member selected as a peer evaluator shall not have participated in the most recent evaluation of the Unit Member being evaluated.
9.5.3 Peer evaluations shall use the Adjunct Faculty Evaluation Form (Appendixes B-1 through B-3) as appropriate to the assignment of the Unit Member and shall result in a rating for each evaluative criterion and an overall rating of “excellent,” “satisfactory,” “needs improvement,” or “unsatisfactory.”
9.5.4 At the option of the Unit Member being evaluated, a copy of the peer evaluation may be forwarded to the District Office of Human Resources for inclusion in the Unit Member’s personnel file.
Peer Evaluation. The faculty members of the department will be given the opportunity to complete the Chairperson Peer Evaluation form (H.1.b) no later than the eighth week of the spring term. The form will be distributed to all members of each department by the division xxxx or immediate administrator and return to the division xxxx or immediate administrator. These forms will be kept confidential.
Peer Evaluation. 18.7.1 During the semester for which the administrative evaluation is scheduled, a Unit Member may select one (1), but not more than three (3), faculty members to conduct a peer evaluation.
18.7.2 Peer evaluators shall be tenured faculty members, selected from within the Unit Member’s department/area or from among those engaged in a similar discipline within the Unit Member’s division. In exceptional circumstances, as mutually agreed upon by the Unit Member and the Immediate Management Supervisor, one (1) or more peer evaluators may be selected from District worksites outside the Unit Member’s division.
18.7.3 A person selected as a peer evaluator shall not have participated consecutively in the two (2) most recent evaluations of the Unit Member being evaluated.
18.7.4 Tenured Unit Members shall be obligated to serve as peer evaluators, if requested, once every two (2) years. The peer component of the program of evaluation shall consist of classroom/worksite observation and assessment by faculty of those activities which constitute the Unit Member’s primary contractual duties.
18.7.5 At the option of the Unit Member, a copy of the peer evaluation may be forwarded to the District Office of Human Resources for inclusion in the Unit Member’s personnel file.
18.7.6 The peer evaluation may be conducted during the same semester as the administrative evaluation or in the next regular semester after the Unit Member receives the administrative evaluation report.
Peer Evaluation. If the faculty member chooses to have a peer evaluation, he/she shall notify the immediate supervisor, in writing, during the first four weeks of the evaluation semester. The peer evaluator will be mutually agreed upon between the faculty member and the supervisor. The evaluation for instructional faculty will include at least one classroom visitation and will be based on Teaching and Instruction Effectiveness (4.301). The faculty member has the option of including or not including the peer evaluation form in the formal evaluation.
Peer Evaluation. Peer evaluations will be conducted for each tenured academic employee during the third year of the triennial cycle using the form mutually agreed upon by the District and the LCCFAHE. The peer group for evaluation will be identified by the supervising administrator after consultation with the academic employee and is not restricted to members of the academic employee’s department.
Peer Evaluation. Unit members shall not be asked or required to evaluate their peers whether full-time, part-time, or substitute employees.
Peer Evaluation. (a) Where evaluations of teaching effectiveness by academic peers (i.e. other teaching employees) are used, they shall (except as allowed by Article 26.4(b)) be restricted to consideration of the topics identified in Article 26.3(a), but need not include consideration of all of them. Any such evaluation shall be written and signed, and shall clearly identify which of the topics is being considered.
(b) Peer evaluations may also consider the extent to which the methods and material used by an instructor achieved the objectives of the course as identified by the instructor, provided such evaluations do not violate Article 4, Academic Freedom.
(c) Peer evaluations shall contain a written statement of the evidence on which the evaluations were made and the circumstances in which the evidence was collected. Only evidence which is reasonably reliable and reasonably indicative of the characteristic being evaluated may be used.
(d) Peer evaluations shall be presented, complete, in accordance with the provisions of this Article, and in written form, sufficiently in advance of their being used for any purpose to allow an instructor to respond to them in writing.
