Common use of Unpaid Leave Notice of Return Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Leave Notice of Return. A unit member on unpaid leave is required to notify a Human Resources administrator of intent to return to work: (1) at least 30 calendar days prior to end of a leave which expires before end of a school year; or (2) by March 1 for a leave which expires at end of a school year unless an exception is granted by the superintendent. Failure to notify a Human Resources administrator by March 1 may result in a change of assignment or loss of employment for the FTE portion of the unpaid leave. Prior to a potential change of assignment or loss of employment, the Human Resources Department will provide final notification to the unit member at the last known address on file in the Human Resources Department before April 1.
