Unpaid Leaves for Union Business. Members of the Union elected to Local Union positions or selected by the Union to do work which takes them from their employment with the Board shall, at the written request of the Union, receive temporary leaves of absence for periods not to exceed two (2) years or the term of office, whichever may be shorter, and upon thirty (30) days or more of notification of intent to return shall be re-employed with accumulated seniority if a position for which they are qualified is available.
