Union Business Leave. 1. The five members of the Union Negotiating Committee shall be granted leave from duty with full pay for all meetings between the Board, or its representatives, and the Union for the purpose of negotiating the terms of a contract, when such meetings take place at a time when such members are scheduled to be at work.
Union Business Leave. A leave of absence for a reasonable period of time for Union activity shall be granted to an employee upon the request of the Union, provided that no more than one (1) person at a time in each work site covered by this Agreement shall be granted such leave.
Union Business Leave. The parties agree to the primary principle that Union business will be carried out during off-duty hours.
Union Business Leave. The Gallery may grant Leave of Absence without pay to not-more-than three (3) employees, for a total period not exceeding thirty (30) working days in one (1) calendar year, to attend Union conferences or conventions, provided reasonable notice is given by the Union to the Gallery and such absence will not unduly interfere with the operation of the Gallery.
Union Business Leave. Subject to prior written approval of the Office of Labor Relations, paid leave may be granted to Union officers, stewards, delegates or designees as follows:
Union Business Leave. Members of the Union as may be elected or designated as officers, stewards or members of the negotiating committee, to represent the Union shall be granted leave from duty, with no loss of pay, under the following terms and conditions during the term of this Agreement:
Union Business Leave. Union Business Leave does not constitute a break in service. AFSCME shall indemnify and hold the State and Agency harmless against any and all claims, damages, suits, or other forms of liability which may arise out of any action taken or not taken by the Employer and/or Agency for the purpose of complying with this provision. For Short and Long Term leave, AFSCME shall, within thirty (30) days of receipt of specific billing, reimburse the Agency for payment of appropriate salary, benefits, paid leave time, pension, and all other employer-related costs.
Union Business Leave. The Union shall be entitled to up to 900 hours of paid leave per contract year for Union officials, delegates, stewards or other representatives to attend Union business-related meetings, conventions, training programs, meetings of national affiliates or other affiliates organizations, legislative or agency hearings . The Union shall notify the State Office of Labor Relations of the names, agencies, dates and number of hours when employees are to be released for such Union business, normally at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance . Such release time shall be granted; the Union agrees not to unduly deplete agency operations . If notice of release is received less than seventy two (72) hours in advance, the leave may be denied if the absence will unduly hinder minimum operating needs . Time off shall be deducted from the bank of hours . Any hours not used in one year may be carried over to the next contract year and added to that Union business leave bank of hours . Said bank shall expire at the end of the contract .
Union Business Leave. 18.3.1 Members of the Union attending Union business shall be granted a leave of absence (subject to reimbursement in accordance with Article 18.3) provided:
Union Business Leave. Where applicable, employees may be granted a leave of absence for purposes of Union business in accordance with M.S. 179.66, Subd. 10. Union leaves approved by the Employee Relations Department, in writing, for a specific duration shall not be subject to cancellation.
