Unscheduled Absence. If an employee has an unscheduled absence on a holiday recognized by this Agreement or on the last scheduled working day before the holiday or the first scheduled working day after a holiday, the unscheduled days off shall be without pay and the employee shall forfeit holiday pay for that holiday, unless the employee provides the Employer with a written verification of the illness from a health care provider.
