Common use of Use of Temporaries Clause in Contracts

Use of Temporaries. The County may employ temporary employees on a seasonal, cyclic, or short-term basis, or to assist during an unusually high workload. A temporary employee normally will not be employed more than 1,040 hours in a calendar year, unless extended with the mutual agreement of the Union and the County. The County will notify the Union(s) quarterly of the number and identity, date of hire, classification and department of temporary employees. The County will not rotate temporaries through the same position.
